Gaishala

The Gaishala Mountains is a realm of animal spirits. It is located in the mountain range east of the nation of Gaja . It is a high mountain with many shallow spiral pathways. The terrain is plain enough that even large footed elephant-lahks can climb it. The challenge comes in facing the extreme cold. Not everyone has survived the pilgrimage to Gaishala, though some of that is due to carelessness by those who did not plan for the journey. Sometime deep into the accent up Gaishala, the rules change. Success becomes much more dependent on the state of mind. Reality itself is influenced by outlook. In this way, how much of the gods realm visitors experience is variable. One pilgrim upon meeting a spirit might just see the spirit within the same bitter cold. Another visiting under the same circumstances might scenery accompany their spirit, including a unity of trees, lakes, grassy fields, and sunshine. I say people of similar circumstances instead of place, because space does not work the same way here. Pilgrims enter the Gaishala with the desire to meet a spirit and that attracts the spirit to appear before them anywhere within the maze of mountain paths, and that includes any parts of their realm they brought with them. Whether the spirit answers the summons at all is up to the spirits, but in general they will be compelled to respect the journey of suffering that people take to meet them.
The wonder about Gaishala for pilgrims is that they get to exist at least partially in the spirit world. Some people stay there for longer times, allowing their understanding of reality to change, which can be good or bad. There are many people wandering there who are considered wise for living there for so long, as there are those considered mad for the same reason.
