Amesha Gemstone Treatment

Every respected amesha physician has two items with them at all times. A bush tree that is just small enough to be carried by an assistant, and a carrying case of nibs made from gemstones. Crystal quartz nibs are a part of every physician's collection. The rest of their assortment, whether it is amethyst, lapis lazuli, or onyx, depends on the physician's specialty of treatment, and what gemstones they are practiced and attuned with. They channel their earth based power through these crystals to enhance the natural healing properties of these stones to wondrous proportions. One way they use gemstones is to detect un-seeable ailments and infractions. Quartz provides the most general scan, while specific gemstones are used for specific ailments.
I once witnessed a man on the operating table with a deep laceration along the length of his back thigh. After cleaning the wound, the physician inserted three pieces of quartz into the wound. Through them, she was able to tell the extent of the damage, as if the crystal served as secondary eyes. The physician then cut off branches of her bush tree and tied onyx, carnelian, tiger eye, and jasper nibs to them. With the steadiest hands I have ever seen, she inserted the crystal nibs into the wound, the curve of the branches matching the curve of the wound so she could place the gems precisely where she wanted them. She moved the sticks so delicately that it was only from looking at the sereneness of her face that I knew she was channeling energy through them. By doing so, she matched the vibrations of the stones with that of the lacerated flesh. She carefully, (and painfully for the patient sadly,) pressed the two sides of the wound upon the nib as she pulled it out, creating the energy needed for the flesh to seal back together.
According to the same physician there are wounds and ailments that the body wants to heal. The will is already there, and it even knows what needs to happen for it to do so. The gemstone treatment lends energy to that desire by providing the necessary vibrations for that will to manifest. Gemstone treatment is particularly effective for amesha patients, but it is still a viable treatment option for the other three people as well.
