Vorbile's Fall
He came crashing down, from the spires of the long-forgotten chapel, Vorbile's corpse hits the ground in an impact that's heard for miles. Blood sprayed from his open throat, and the dragon clutched at his neck in a desperate plea for life. The desecrator is no more.Vorbile was a tyrannical foe for the Coalition, and was a rather painful thorn in the side of their leader, Thaquorous. The Green Dragon had domain over a small, central island within the Thevagon Isles, and had it protected by three enthealled minions of his. It had taken the guildleader to assign the efforts of four adventurers, being;- Moments after the Coalition Members fought Vorbile, the Desecrator
- Riree, a white dragonborn thief, known for stealing her life back from death too many times to count.
- Gormand, a powerful Tyfbrood from Tyffon, who wields the Maisin Maw Excalibur.
- Grog Veil'thro, the new Goat Man to the Beetlesmasher Village of Halland Island, mighty berserker.
- Roxy Gallahad, daughter to Lord Galahad, and the soon to be slayer of Vorbile. The newest member to the party.
The first plan set in motion by Vorbile was to keep the coastlines secure. If he was to conspire against the land-dwellers, then it'd be in his best interest to make sure that there'd be no surprise enemies. His main puppet who fought out there was Lyla. Lyla, an insectoid, had already lived upon the coastlines in her times of resistance. When she was enthralled by the magical item, lodged in Vorbile's throat, she made for a deadly warrior to plague those attempting to slay the dragon. A cave found upon the coastlines is filled with her belongings, and even whilst still under Vorbile's enthrallment, she finds herself drawn to staying there, clinging to memories that she only experiences whilst she is free from his control and domain. Vorbile's manic tauntings of the lady is often found upon the coastline, bordering the entrance of the cave. Many of the warriors and conquerors killed by the flightless dragon or his thralls that match any key points of resemblance to Lyla's deceased partner, who was killed by Vorbile originally - moments before her corruption into becoming a thrall of Vorbile.
Vorbile believed himself to be a perfect schemer. His case of erasure for the settlements upon his island saw very few survivors, minus two men who would become his other two thralls, alongside Lyla. Kreg Hukani was enthralled by his magic guile, and turned into a mindless servant. Vorbile had enlisted him as a failsafe in case anybody made it past the beach, by creating a drastic growth in the aggressive tendencies of Hukani's soul, making him a blood-crazed, ritualistic, cruel warrior who valued the pain he inflicted upon others over the actual decisions of the fight. Wearing his former church official robes, now drenched in blood, Hukani serves as a deadly exmple as to how despicable Vorbile is to those that revolt against him. Using chain swords, Hukani's fighting style was infiltrated by Vorbile, and turned to be one involving the use of chains in order to bind and weaken Hukani, and by extent, Vorbile's enemies. Hukani made for a perfect warrior when targeting those that remained after Lyla's attacks. His choice of weaponry made it so that many would struggle against his erratic attacks.
Lastly, Arondel, a noble from the island before it's corruption, plays as an elite guard to the old town, which is now where Vorbile keeps his lair. As a former duelist, Arondel managed to maintain his dexterity during his enthrallment by hunting down the remaining monsters on the island. Vorbile's lair is considered a beastless environment for all predators, which makes an abudance of herding animals and prey - prey that Vorbile happily consumes. Arondel prefers fighting individual enemies, which makes his placement before Vorbile's layer a critical one, for any stragglers that evaded either ambushes done by the other Thralls.
The Conflict
Outcome
The dragon died, the ruins of the temple crumbled down completely, and the magical properties of the artifact lodged in Vorbile's throat had been dispelled. The island was no longer affecred by the capabilities of Vorbile as an adult green dragon, and saw life begin to return to its hidden corners, still edging closer and closer to replenishing the land.
Aftermath
Malus, the Charred Colossus, had began building up a full assault on the Coalition, using a wave of young dragons as he'd prepare for the Descent, a ritual that'd involve the final stages of his plan. The rescused Thralls would join forces with the Coalition and begin to fight alongside those against the heroic adventurers. Soon enough, they aided in the face-off against Malus and the three of them involved with much of the side missions presented by the threats of further war and casualties done by eitber of the work of Malus himself, or the other well-known underlings to the Charred Colosuss, such as Zorpindral, and Renkara.
Historical Significance
Legacy
After the battle, Riree would take Vorbile's skull and use it as a war decoration upon her ranch, back at her home in Halland Island . It serves as a warning to all dragons to not attack the island.
Malus revered only one aspect about Vorbile, his ambition, and his lack of limits when considering options to solve a problem. The torment he caused was also admirable, and so a Green Dragon within Malus' lair was appointed as the torturer of any rogue dragons, or any invaders upon the floating city.
The Battle
Vorbile's final battle was a rather short one. The use of the terrain around his lair was impeccable, by the coalition. Managing to drive Vorbile to the remaining wall of the church at his resting place, they had caused it to crumble after further damaging his wings, preventing him from being able to glide - let alone soar above the sky. With the help of the freed thralls, Vorbile's weakness was shown to them all, the magical item lodged in his throat. It was a perfect target, and it was Roxy's keen eye that saw the weak points upon his neck, and had launched a barrage of arrows which had caused for the dragon to lose his footing on the weakened wall, sending himself and the wall down to the ground. The fall called the killing blow.

The Coalition
Strength
Vorbile is a Green Dragon, bordering on becoming a fully adult dragon. Whilst injured and scarred, causing an inability to fly, Vorbile still holds his poisonous breath, as well as the strength of his body and wings. He can climb walls, due to increased muscle in his claws. Lodged in his throat rests a powerful magic item that can enthrall three people per day into doing his bidding. He believes this to be his own influence on them, and not caused by the item in his throat. Those three people are considered powerful warriors, each with their own capabilities.
The coalition is made up of experienced adventurers, heroes, sellswords, and other individuals of power. Led by Thaquorous Alexo, one of their most valuable units, the ones that had taken care of the Lords of the Isles, was sent to take down Vorbile. They're known, humorously, as the Snap, Crackle, Pop, due to a rumour from a year ago. Each of them have received divine blessings from forgotten gods, legendary weapons of unbound magical property, and boons from beings outside of the Material Plane, including a dormant Nabassu, as well as from an Aitsonian Titan.
Casualties
Vorbile, himself, was slain in this battle. At a more general point, the three mind-controlled warriors had been freed and joined the Coalition.
No lives were lost in the battle, but Gormand and Roxie had sustained rather dangerous wounds within the conflict, from Vorbile. Grog Veil'thro had been attacked by Kreg Hukani earlier, too. These wounds healed mere days later.
Objectives
To lay waste to the Thevagon Isles, and reclaim his ability to fly.
Their primary objective is to kill Vorbile, but upon learning the horrors of what his puppets go through, they decided to save the three of them from torment.
