Thom Bordeaux
Thom Lestre Bordeaux (a.k.a. "Leni")
A seventeen year-old boy who grew up near the Warehouse district in the outer city of Havere - The Crystal Port and a former member of the The Black Heart. Thom was apprehended by a group of adventurers while they were infiltrating a Black Heart lair and, after their mission was done, pitied the poor wretched soul and hired him to be a manservant at their dilapidated property in the Peninsula district.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Thom is tall for his age and wiry but generally good health. He is perhaps a little underweight for a boy his height and age, but he claims it helps him get away from sticky situations.
Identifying Characteristics
Thom has two prominent tattoos: one of a shark smoking skooma on his right shoulder; the other of the word "Nena" written out in cursive as if a single piece of thread and the end of the thread is a sewing needle.
Physical quirks
He is left-handed, hunches a little (a trait when the other kids started to make fun of his height), and tends to stub his toe on things a lot (another consequence of his recent rapid growth).

Personal history
Thom is the only child of Cyrille Bordeaux and Valerie du Pont. Thom was concieved when both Cyrille and Valerie were teenagers. Cyrille was seventeen years old, and Valeire sixteen. Once the du Pont family learned of Valerie's promiscuity and subsequent pregnancy, they cut ties and threw her out on the street. Cyrille being just a teenager himself, convinced his mother Morgaine Bordeaux to take care of the poor girl until after the child was born. Unfortunately, Valerie did not survive labor, Morgaine pressured Cyrille to keep babe and promised to help raise him.
To help support his new family Cyrille joined the crew of Le Chance du Vent a trading ship that dabbled in some smuggling. Cyrille would be gone on long multi-month voyages so the majority of Thom's life was spent without a father. In the year 4823, when Thom was just before his 16th birthday, he and his grandmother received word that the Le Chance du Vent was destroyed by a large sea creature. With Cyrille's death, and his grandmother rapidly aging, there was no money to support them.
Thom desperate for something that could feed his grandmother and himself took to selling skooma on the streets of the outer city. The boy's natural charm and street smarts proved to be an excellent combination pushing the illegal drug.
In the next year Thom grew almost 12 inches. Seeing his physical potential, his dealer mentioned that he could make even more money if he officially joined the The Black Heart . Young Thom thought it was an excellent idea and started running with some of the lower level thugs of the gang.
Education
Thom has no formal education. He grandmother taught him to read the best that she could, so he can sound out signs and words. He still has difficulty with any form of writing longer than a couple of sentences. Thom is proficient at basic arithmetic a skill he learned practiced while pushing skooma.
Most of his education is from growing up on the street. He a proficient pick pocket and con artist. The Black Heart gave him some basic training with a dagger and sword but he still is awkward with them both.
Employment
Currently he is employed by a group of adventurers from outside of Royaume du Terdiore. Formerly and briefly he was a recruit of the The Black Heart, before that, he was a freelance distributor of skooma - although his goods came from the Black Heart.
Accomplishments & Achievements
His greatest accomplishment is surviving the on-boarding process for being a member of the Black Heart. He is also quite proud as the money he's made living on the street.
Failures & Embarrassments
He's incredibly shy with women, and on more than one occasion has made a complete fool of himself in front of a girl that he liked.
Mental Trauma
Thom blames himself for the death of both his mother and father. He desperately wanted to be like his father, to the disdain of his father himself (a reason why he kept away from the house so much). He often regrets that he had not stowed-away on the Le Chance du Vent; that somehow he could have helped his father survive. He also blames himself as the reason that his father had to spend so much time away growing up.
