Human

Humans are the most common and diverse mortal species in the world. Their kingdoms are as far-reaching and different as humans themselves. Humans, in general, are highly adaptable, ambitious, innovative, tribal, and territorial which has led to many great conflicts in the time since the War of Ascension.
Although they are considered the youngest and most troublesome of the mortal races by their peers, Human influence in Aasha has grown as human populations have spread and settled almost every part of the continent claiming every bit of land and sea for their kingdoms and empires. Now days, the majority of the population in Aasha live in a jurisdiction "claimed" by a human ruler and the autonomy of Elven or Dwarven settlements are sometimes challenged.
Humans live relatively short lives compared to Elves and Dwarves, and so, human culture and language can change quickly from generation to generation. There is a common myth among the Elven Sages that by the time one masters a human tongue it may already be extinct.
