From the ashes of eons of chaos and turmoil, the Creator organized the realms, and from a piece of each one, created Aasha and the inhabitants who dwell upon it.
It is millennia after the War of Ascension. The New Gods that ascended to Godhood to replace the Old Ones are now themselves old Gods. The lands are generally at peace with each other. But where there is peace, there is complacency, and where there is complacency, there is opportunity. Various forces in and out of the realm scheme and execute their plans to consolidate their power or return them to former glory.
Of these, are the Old Gods thrown into their cage in Limbo during an age that's now fading from mortal memory. They have planned their escape for millennia and the conditions are now ripe to put them into action. The first Mulin, the Ancient Goddess of Nature has put motions in place to create her new army and reclaim her spot in the Pantheon.
