Temple of Olastra (Havere)

The Temple of Olastra in Havere is the largest of its kind and serves as the center of the Olastran faith. The temple is also unique as it is the residence of the highest ranking official in the Olastran faith, the Archguide.

Architecture

The Temple of Olastra was designed and built after the founding of Havere. The entire structure was designed to look like a massive turtle resting on a slab of stone. Its shell is designed to be a very stylized dome (to match traditional Havecois architecture) with its four fins, head, and tail supported by the traditional columns.
Inside, the building is open and expansive like a large cathedral similarly build by the Church of Light. The center of the building is a large shrine/fountain dedicated to Olastra depicting a large turtle springing forth out of the fountain.
At the four "corners" of the building from where the limbs of the turtle begin are small chapels with smaller shrines used for smaller religious services or instruction. The acoustics of each chapel are such that that the noise from the main central shrine do not bleed too badly into the chapels and visa versa.
At the rear of the building holds the offices and living quarters of the various priests and priestesses known in the Church as "guides."
