Symon Character in A Strange New World | World Anvil

Symon

(a.k.a. the Seer)

As a shifter, Symon is a practitioner of magic with a focus on the dimensional aspects of arcane energy. This means he is able to reach beyond space and time and can even summon creatures from other dimensions.   Symon is an easy-going, likeable guy who travels with Kumi, the Rasta envoy of Tolkeen, for the sole purpose of recruiting other arcane practitioners into the Tolkeen sphere of influence. A good listener and an obviously educated and intelligent orator, Symon is very convincing.

Personal history

Raised in the city of Tolkeen, Symon attended Evergreen University's College of Applied Magic. While just an average student, his ability to make friends was his strongest trait and soon he found himself bumping elbows with the movers and shakers of Tolkeen's elite society.   When he petitioned for grants to study the chaos and dimentsional energies in The Free Lands, the power brokers of the city saw a way to get two birds. They appointed him to Kumi's mission.

Employment

Symon's mission is to recruit as many arcane practitioners as possible to come to Tolkeen and do everything in his power to prevent them from going to Lazlo or any other communities.

Morality & Philosophy

Symon cares only about one thing. Symon. He thrives on the attention he gets in social occasions. He is currently climbing the ladders of power in Tolkeen, and is eager to tap into the unrestrained energies of The Free Lands.

Personality Characteristics

Personality Quirks

Symon will roll the tips of his forked tongue when he gets lost in thought or thinks no one is watching. He's aware it is disturbing to some people so he tries not to do it in public unless he is distracted.

Social

Social Aptitude

Symon is a master at ingratiating himself with others. At times self-deprecating and at others boastful, at times generous and at others sarcastically sassy, he is the best friend you never knew you always wanted.
