Sentinels of the Void

One of the Thirteen Great Arts of Tanitris, once part of the Tamers of the Void. Its sole purpose is to identify the position of the Void with respect to the current position of the Mòran mar aon. The organization suffered greatly in the first years after the attack of Stoirm Gunainm, when control was lost over the root of the Tree of Tanitris connected to the Tamers of the Void and part of it was etched and penetrated by the Void.

To regain control over the root, Sentinels of the Void worked together with Tamers of Æter to regain control over it. The process, however, required the minds of the volunteers to interact with the Void, which forced everything out of its way. Some people managed to keep their lives albeit the cost of not only their knowledge but often the mind and physical control of their bodies as well. The Gathering ritual was held every several years back then. Firstly, to let the Sentinels of the Void regain their strength and fill in the ranks and secondly, and most importantly, because their specialty was already embedded in the structure of the Tanitris and many feared that without them, the new safe entrance to Ædeos would disappear altogether. It took several decades before people were able to trust the Sentinels of the Void enough to join their ranks.
