The Void
The veil upon the world
At the edge of Ædeos a feeling of loss and thinning of conscience can be experienced, though no time, nor form, nor any being is permitted through its veil. Given the name of Void, it separates Ædeos from our plane. It was once thought impossible to cross it and knowingly enter the changing fields of Ædeos. And it was exceedingly remarkable, when Tæn-ĭ-Sáveni were discovered and their connection to the Tree of Void, revealed.
Location
The Void forms a thick veil surrounding the world as we know it. Not as a space devoid of objects, but rather a lack of anything with a potential of becoming a form, be it space, or time, or thought.
Characteristics
One of a few "landmarks" on the outskirts of Ædeos is the so-called Tree of Void. Placed in the ancient land of Tanitris, it was once its heart and center. Now, after the Æter tides receeded leaving Tanitris in ruins, the Tree remained, clinging deep into the Void. As the time passed the land surrounding the tree was chipped away resulting in a cape-like formation.
It is argued whether the Tree is indeed growing into the Void or is it rather pushing it aside. How does It refuse being consumed is not known. It seems as if the Void itself is becoming a part of its nature, an accurate yet counterintuitive observation.
Truth is told in the Myth of Tanitris, that the Tree seems to be connected both to the Tanitris and to the Void itself, the origin of which is known only by the Tæn-ĭ-Sáveni tribe, who have ventured to Tanitris way long before the Fall.
