'Arshan-Nuwair, The Pale Conqueror' ((Arabic: [ərʃɛn - N-OY†wɪə] (Arr-Shen Noy-air)))

"Valor... Compassion... Integrity. You cling to these maxims, hoping that they will spare you from the same fate you brought upon me. They will not. To resist is a fool's gambit. Lay down your arms, and embrace the merciful oblivion of the Sallow Sun..."

Created by Tybris (Me)

'The Pale Conqueror' Arshan-Nuwair

In life, they were regarded as nothing short of a radiant beacon in the darkness, guiding the lost, warming the disheartened, inspiring the despondent, and searing the wicked. Swift to bestow aid and rise in the defense of the worthy, they stood beloved by their flock. They were as much a friend as they were a deific defender. Steadfast in their beliefs, they would fight in their name until the bitter end; even when such bade them unleash their wrath upon their former followers. To many, they were a paragon of valor, integrity, and loyalty.   Alas, would that the same could be said of them beyond death.   Slain by those who once revered him; Arshan was denied the comfort of their final end. Instead, 'The Dawn-Warden' rose again as a twisted, monstrous reflection of their former self. Gone was the warmth that their light once gave, instead replaced by pallid and callous glare. Reborn as one of the first 'Spurned'. Clad in darkened chain and a mask that shrouds all but their glowing eyes, armed with shield and shamshir, riding atop a dread steed, Arshan marched from 'The Heart of The World' at the vanguard of those who would come to be known as 'The Black March'. Ruin would follow in their wake.   For thirty years since their rising, they have been instrumental in the slaughter of vast swathes of the world's mortal populace, the razing of countless cities, and the collapse of nations. All that which they once gave has been forsaken. Compassion has been driven into the mud of cruelty, valor tarnished by the rust of malice, and loyalty was discarded in favor of malevolent guile. Those that once offered them love now turn from them in fear and despair, afraid to be found by their ireful gaze.   Whilst the faithful honor their memory and adhere to the tenets of a dead god, the masses can no longer deny the truth. Their warden has fallen, and from his death 'The Pale Conqueror' was born. Left unchecked, they, like the rest of their wretched allies, would see the world undone...   Its death knell tolled beneath a sallow sun.

Divine Domains

Even beyond death; Arshan retains the divine domains of light, the sun, and its stellar flame. It should be noted, however, that his manifestation of the powers relating to such are twisted and malevolent in nature.   Many mortals continue to worship the memory of who they once were, and the divine realms they oversaw. To that end; 'The Warden of The Dawn' lives on, spurring no shortage of outrage from 'The Pale Conqueror' when they and their minions come to clash with their former worshippers.

Artifacts

Whilst those who serve 'The Pale Conqueror' may see to it that aspects of their arms and armor reflect their master, Arshan has no new artifacts attributed to them save for the weapons they wield and the shield they raise against their foes.    Alas, by virtue of 'The Black March' and its machinations, however, this will no doubt change in time.

Holy Books & Codes

The 'Kattab Al-Nour' holds no place in the heart of 'The Pale Conqueror', and there has been little need to create new texts or codes to guide 'The Black March'. Much, if not all of their ranks understand their goals and, in time, come to embrace them without hesitation. For many of 'The Spurned', Arshan among them, this more than suffices.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

There will be some among 'The Black March' who adorn themselves with twisted reflections of the iconography that once represented 'The Dawn-Warden', just as Arshan does. Alas... there is little by way of unique symbols and sigils associated with them as they are now, save for the above. Like many of 'The Spurned' and their minions; 'The Pale Conqueror' has adopted more universal sigils and iconography more befitting of the unified front this calamitous force presents.

Tenets of Faith

Whilst there will be those who hold true to the tenets of 'The Dawn-Warden', 'The Pale Conqueror' does not. Their former codes and guidance mean little to them, or their newfound followers. All that truly matters is bringing about the world's end. How that comes to be matters not. Whilst it is true that aspects of their former dispositions and ideals will linger in them even now, they have long since been corrupted to suit the perspective of a 'Spurned'.

Holidays

Seldom do 'The Black March' engage in holidays and other such trifles. When they do, they are brief and often in celebration of their most recent conquests. A bloody bacchanal befitting of their nature. There are no holidays dedicated to 'The Pale Conqueror' at present. Unlike some of their other kin, Arshan rarely, if ever, partakes in these abhorrent displays of "revelry". Perhaps a thin measure of their former self remains; enough to steer them away from such dire deeds.   It is not as virtuous as it sounds, however. 'The Pale Conqueror' still feasts upon the world and its suffering in their own time. They merely do it away from the masses where they can.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

To bring about the world's end, and usher forth merciful oblivion to all that live upon it.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Though diminished from what they once were, 'The Pale Conqueror' retains an imposing physical presence. Broad-chested and tall enough to tower over those they seek to cull; they remain both indomitable and intimidating to behold. Whilst their body bears the marks of their once fatal wounds, they are not impeded by such nor do they bear the burdens of conventional affliction, crippling or otherwise. Malice and malevolent machinations have seen to that.    From the perspective of most mortals, 'The Pale Conqueror' would physically appear akin to a pallid, harrowed human in his mid to late thirties.

Body Features

'The Pale Conqueror' stands at eight feet and six inches tall. They have pallid, pasty skin, black body hair that has thinned and grown wiry, broad shoulders, and a broad chest. They look as though one who is no stranger to conflict, toil, and the burdens of the mind. Despite their imposing frame, they look as though they have suffered from neglect. Their large hands are calloused, their muscular frame speaks of strength and suffering in equal measure, and the scars of battle are far more defined. The wounds that robbed them of their life have since blackened, and show no signs of returning to a more natural pallor. Once they would have been admired by many as a powerful example of masculinity, now stand as a twisted, ill-kept reflection of their former glory.

Facial Features

Arshan's features evoked intensity and integrity in life. The former has not been lost beyond death, but the latter has been exchanged for harshness. Their features retain their sharp definition, though it has been accentuated by the tautness of their flesh against the bone. Sunken eyes framed by dark rings and burning with an unnatural, pale fire. Sunken cheeks accentuate the bones of their face. Thinned lips framed by an unkempt black beard, whilst the rest of their face lies shadowed by a heavy mane with the same coloration. Once it was well-kept and suitably accentuated their features, now, it hangs low with the weight of neglect, dulled and greasy. The markings that once brought an air of nobility to their features now lay faded and ill-suited for the pallid flesh they now sit upon. Nonetheless, when their twisted might is channeled, they will still blaze with the same fury as their eyes.    Overall, 'The Pale Conqueror' retains an aspect of their former nobility and intensity, but it, like the rest of them, has been twisted by malevolence. Whilst they once had a countenance befitting of a righteous monarch, they now possess one more befitting of a cold-hearted tyrant.

Identifying Characteristics

Even beyond death, Arshan's most identifying features are their eyes, their facial markings; and a remake of their golden targe, now hewn out of black metal. Just like their original shield, thi targe is their primary means through which their channel their malicious power.

Physical quirks

'The Pale Conqueror' has not sacrificed their bold nature, as far as gesturing is concerned. They retain a measure of the poise they held in life, though their gestures are quicker to become tempestuous when they are aggravated. They no longer hold their head high as they once did, however. Instead, they loom as an imposing presence, wielding an iron grip upon their followers. Their physical quirks reflect this. A straight-backed warmonger, bearing their chest and spiting the world that scorns them.   Behind closed doors where they are left with only themselves for company, however, their more negative quirks display themselves in full force. Far more than they ever did in life. Their shoulders hunch, their head is hung low, their movements are lethargic and dour. It is though the burdens they once carried have stooped their back permanently. In such a way, their truer self appears far more akin to a broken man than the vicious tyrant they present to the world at large.   It matters little, however, for their wrath will fall upon the mortal realms regardless.

Special abilities

Death, and that which came thereafter, did not rob 'The Pale Conqueror' of their potency. They retain their vast measure of strength and knowledge from their time as an 'Ascended'. For Arshan, they had a particular affinity for all things solar, and the stellar flame such things conjure. Alas, as one of 'The Spurned', these powers have been corrupted and malformed; giving rise to the pale flame that garnered them their new title. It is a malicious twisting of the sun's grace and fury and has proven most apt in laying waste to the enemies of 'The Pale Conqueror' and their holdings.   Dalla's blessing was not exempt from this corruption either. This potent reinforcement serves them even beyond death. Their wounds heal with unnatural swiftness, bones setting and flesh binding itself together in a nauseating fashion. It brings Dalla no shortage of pain to see their gift being utilized by their former lover in such a profaned fashion. Doubly so when considering that 'The Spurned' are antithetical to all they hold dear.   With the above combined; 'The Pale Conqueror' is a particularly dangerous foe to contend with, even among 'The Spurned'. It would take a 'Forsaken' of truly legendary capability to slay such a being, and they are in rare supply indeed...

Apparel & Accessories

The finery Arshan would have once worn has been all but discarded. Save for a few choice thobes, sandals, and trinkets, they held little need for such civilian attire. Instead, they spend the vast majority of their time clad in blackened ringmail and weathered, but padded cloths. Their great cloak of red and gold lays dull and bloodstained, but they wear it even now. Their former helm has been reforged, bearing a bloody sun as its crest, and in place of his face; is a great metal mask. Only the pale ire of their eyes can be seen amidst this cold exterior. With targe in hand, they would ride into battle atop their malformed steed; a lance or shamshir hewn from tempered 'Widow's Glass' as their newfound weapons of choice. Like their flesh, their attire is a mockery of all they once were.

Specialized Equipment

'The Pale Conqueror' retained their preference for arms and armaments beyond death. Whilst they no longer wield their golden stave, they still make full use of a shamshir, lance, and targe. Further information on each can be found below:   -Arshan tends to wield a great lance hewn of tempered 'Widow's Glass' when atop their war-steed. It remains as their most commonly used weapon, particularly when mounted. Just like their former, divine armament, it is capable of channeling hisr twisted strength into the form of a pale and abhorrent blaze at its tip. This flame is particularly potent and difficult to extinguish.   -'The Pale Conqueror' also possesses a black targe forged in the likeness of the shield they wielded in life. Whilst it is a commendable attempt at mimicking the original, it will never hold the majesty its progenitor did. What it lacks in such regards, however, it more than makes up for with its intimidating embossment. The pale sun, its shape distorted and twisted, like centipedes writhing over metal. Much like its inspiration, it is the primary tool through which 'The Pale Conqueror' channels their malevolent power, be it in the defense of his minions, or the eradication of their mortal foes.   -They also wield a wicked-looking shamshir forged from tempered 'Widow's Glass'. The blade is capable of being ignited with a pale blaze just like his lance. Between the pallid flame and the natural potency of 'Widow's Glass', there is little that can stop this weapon's arcing strikes. It is a welcome contingency for when the lance will no longer suffice.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

The history of 'The Pale Conqueror' is synonymous with that of 'The Dawn-Warden'. In truth, it would be more accurate to consider it the next chapter in the latter's tale. Their legacy, spanning over millennia; has been tarnished and undone in little over thirty years. Their former triumphs do not appease them, and their past defeats serve only to motivate their newfound, and malevolent intentions.   In the time since their rebirth; Arshan has partaken in malevolence of the direst kind. They have stood at the vanguard of countless 'Breaches', seen populations scoured, their cities razed and their nations brought low. The veneration they were once offered has been cast aside by all but the most faithful followers. Now their hearts harbor fear, distrust, and despondence towards them.   There will be those that will remember them for who they once were, yes; but astride 'The Black March' they have forged a new legacy. That of 'The Pale Conqueror' and all the evils they have wrought upon this ailing world. With every battle, the litany of their malice grows; and grow it will until there are none left to heed its baleful dirge.   Thus, it falls to those 'Forsaken' to bring low 'The Pale Conqueror' and their peers, delivering them to their final rest, before it is too late...   (This section will likely be expanded as the world's history is elaborated upon.)

Gender Identity

Whilst 'The Spurned' hold little concern for such notions, 'The Pale Conqueror' continues to consider themself a man. Their pronouns are He/Him/His. The benevolent masculinity they once exonerated has since been discarded, however. Whilst those who follow the teachings of the 'Ascended' they once were may continue to exalt these traits, Arshan no longer cares for them. To him, they proved insufficient in life, and they will not stop him in death.

Sexuality

Whilst 'The Pale Conqueror' has little desire for such things as they are now, they were Pansexual in life.

Education

'The Pale Conqueror' may have little use for much of their former education, but it has not left their mind in its entirety. Fractured echoes still linger, arming them with more than enough to incite devastation upon the mortal realms. Though comparatively brief, their time as one of 'The Spurned' has yielded further education in regards to the nature of their abilities, new and old alike, when applied with malevolent intent. This newfound knowledge has been self-taught for the most part. Where their own experiences prove insufficient, the experiences and wisdom of their minions will surely suffice.

Employment

'The Pale Conqueror' still retains the history of duties and appointed stations that 'The Dawn-Warden' possessed. They matter little to them now, however. Now, they stand as one of 'The Spurned', a leading figure among 'The Black March', and a deadly foe to the mortal races. This is the only station that truly concerns them any more.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Whilst the successes they held in life are but distant memories to 'The Pale Conqueror', they linger within their mind as fractured echoes of what once was. Beyond death, however, they have achieved no shortage of ruthless, brutal accomplishments that would turn the stomach of their former self. Some of these include:   -Bringing ruin to much of the world they once loved, yet again.   -Slaying countless mortal champions.   -Razing the cities of myriad nations.   -Betraying all that they once held dear.   -Scorning Dalla, their former lover, with the 'Hollow Lands' they have helped create.

Failures & Embarrassments

Unlike their prior successes; the failures of their past self are like thorns dug into the mind. Where once they would have brought shame and despondence, however, they now serve as twisted kindling for their motivations. Despite such, they have endured very little by way of failure as one of 'The Spurned'. That which they truly consider a failure can be found below:   -Being presently unable to overcome the defenses of the remaining mortal realm's most enduring nations, resulting in a stagnation of 'The Black March's' advance. Despite such, 'The Pale Conqueror' knows well that this is but a futile attempt to delay the inevitable. 'The Black March' will, in time, wash across their lands in a tide of destruction. Their valorous efforts will be for naught.   -Whilst considerably more personal, the most tormenting failure 'The Pale Conqueror' endures is that which gave rise to their being. Their own death, and the final rest they were denied. The circumstances around the fatal event ravage their mind in the quiet moments of their "life" without relent. This no doubt contributes to their malevolence against the mortals that they once presided over.

Mental Trauma

The trauma experienced by 'The Spurned' is considerable, and 'The Pale Conqueror' is no exception to this. Haunted by their past failures, tormented by their own death, pining for a lover lost, and ravaged by their present state, 'The Pale Conqueror' is forced to endure these grave cruelties of the mind nigh constantly. It is no surprise, then, that they have come to be as malevolent and callous as they have.

Intellectual Characteristics

Whilst they retain the emotional intellect and cunning they had in life; these talents are used in service of malevolent machinations. Gone are the sentiments of compassion, kindness, and camaraderie, replaced by callous and cold-hearted pragmatism, and the capacity for manipulation where necessary. If they were a good sort in life, they could not be further from such beyond death.

Morality & Philosophy

The virtuous moral compass of 'The Dawn Warden' has seen been discarded by 'The Pale Conqueror'. All prior notions of morality matter little to them now. They would simply serve to impede the diabolical purpose of 'The Black March'. The one thing that seems to hold true, however, is their loyalty to those they stand by. That loyalty extends only to 'The Black March' and their fellow 'Spurned' however. All else is either treated with nihilistic ambivalence or bitter hatred. They failed once in life and paid for it direly. They will not fail in their purpose again.

Taboos

Very little is considered taboo to 'The Pale Conqueror'. That which they once considered such is irrelevant to them now. Even that which they once considered entirely abhorrent no longer phases them. Such things are regarded solely by their capacity to be bent to the will of 'The Spurned', or to be removed as a threat to their designs. In truth, all that matters to them now is the success of 'The Black March' in their abhorrent agenda. To that end; it would be more accurate to consider 'The Pale Conqueror' and their associates to be the taboo, at least as far as the mortal races are concerned.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

To bring about the ruin of the mortal realms, and the final end of the world they reside upon.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Death did not rob Arshan of all their prior faculties. They retain many of the proficiencies they held in life. From martial cadence, to the manipulation of sunlight and the stellar flame, to the passing of the seasons and how best to exploit them. They were fit for the station they held in life; and in death, their talents, both martial, mental, and emotional, have been dedicated to the machinations of 'The Black March'. That which no longer serves their aims is irrelevant to them, now. Such skills go to waste and decay with the passage of time, but he cares not. All that matters now is the world's end. Since their rebirth, they have taken pains to examine areas where their knowledge was otherwise lacking. Their understanding of the deep places of the world has grown exponentially. Whilst they are no expert, they are from the ignorant soul they once were on the subject. This was born from necessity, in some measure. 'The Black March' would often make use of such places to circumvent the defenses of nations ignorant of the deep.   Despite the above, they are far from devoid of flaws and ineptitudes. Their fractured psyche bids their temper rise far more often than it ever did in life. This comparative lack of control can leave them more easily 'predicted' in combat. It does little to dissuade the considerable power at their fingertips, however. Furthermore, Arshan was never the pragmatic sort in life, so whilst they have adopted a most ruthless brand of such disposition beyond death, they are no expert in its application. Unlike others who immersed themselves in such, 'The Pale Conqueror' may yet be outsmarted tactically by mortals with sufficient cunning. Lastly, whilst it was always a part of their nature; Hazuki has seen to it that Arshan's strength will forever be diminished whilst the moon sits among the heavens. For as long as they live, this newfound malus will continue to afflict 'The Pale Conqueror', inhibiting a measure of their true power.

Likes & Dislikes

'The Pale Conqueror' holds a particular fondness for the following:   -Death.   -Disruption.   -The ruining of mortal realms.   -The Sallow Sun.   -'Hollow Lands'.   -'The Lost'.   -Combat.   -Their twisted war-steed.   -Feasting upon the land's essence.   -Silencing their opposition. Permanently.   'The Pale Conqueror' regards the following with particular contempt:   -The virtue of mortals.   -Compassion.   -Their past self.   -Dalla.   -Hazuki and their domain.   -'The Forsaken'.   -The mortal races.   -Nightfall.   -Failure.   -Humanity.

Virtues & Personality perks

Many of the virtues 'The Pale Conqueror' once held in life have since been discarded. The strength they garnered from their loyalty and compassion towards others do not serve them any longer. The only force that garners some twisted sense of loyalty from them is 'The Black March'. Its forces stand to be defended to the hilt by Arshan as they are now. Their empathetic streak is now used to manipulate and corrupt, where once it was wielded with the intent of inspiration and encouragement. As for their valor? In some sense, it remains; though many would consider it to be little more than a lust for bloodshed and battle, and not the righteous desire to oppose that which threatened those they defended. That which they once exalted proved insufficient. They will not make the same mistakes again.

Vices & Personality flaws

Beyond death, many of Arshan's vices and flaws have only intensified. These thorns in their nature often spur them to pursue their newfound goals with relentless fervor. Their dogmatic viewpoint has only grown narrower and more intense since their rebirth. Little, if anything, will sway them from their newfound cause to the point that such can be wielded against them. They are more easily provoked, and their ire is more tempestuous than ever it was in life. The burdens that once brought them despondence now leave them mired in apathy. No longer do their slow their gait, even if they continue to torture their broken mind. Instead, they leave them uncaring as to the wailing of their foes; many of whom were former worshippers. They have become so jaded with the world, that their newly pragmatic disposition finds itself steeped in nihilism. For him, little, if anything, matters now; save the world's end.

Personality Quirks

All save one of Arshan's ticks and quirks have either been removed or diminished as a result of their rebirth. The sole remainder was their desire to sing. In the quiet hours, among ruined cities and dying lands; 'The Pale Conqueror' is known to give voice to their lamentations through song, discordant and unnatural though it is. This is a solitary and incredibly private affair for the 'Spurned', and they have been known to slay uninvited onlookers with impunity. There are even times in which he sings still for Dalla, yearning for one they will never again hold as they once did.

Hygiene

As one of 'The Spurned', Arshan no longer considers such things worthy of their time. Save for bathing in the brackish waters of 'Hollow Lands' as though to remind themselves of past comforts, he does not divert their attention from the cause over such trifling notions. His haggard and unkempt appearance is directly influenced by such.

Social

Reign

Whilst their reign in life was the subject of some contention; many regarded Arshan as a fair and righteous guardian over those that sought his guidance. They walked amidst their followers, defended them from danger, and stoked the light within their hearts through their bounteous compassion. Even their detractors could not deny the presence their kinsmen held in the world.   The same cannot be said for 'The Pale Conqueror'. Beyond death, they have become nothing short of an autocrat. 'The Black March' heeds their 'Spurned' masters without question. Arshan is no exception to this sentiment, and together with their fallen kindred, they maintain an iron grip upon the will of their minions. This tyrannical presence further intensifies the divide between who Arshan was, and who they are now. Precious little of their former grace remains. They have become something that, in life, they would have reviled and intervened against. Their reign is a monstrous one. Effective, but terrible. By his will, havoc is wrought upon the mortal lands, ushered in by an unshakably loyal host of horrors.   The sallow sun needs no warden. It needed a conqueror, and a conqueror it received.

Contacts & Relations

Most, if not all of Arshan's prior affiliations have cut ties with 'The Pale Conqueror', and those who have not have either fallen beneath their sway or maintain a 'bond' only through contempt and conflict. Not even Dalla or Hazuki can look upon them now with anything but discontent and despondence.   In the end, however, such things matter little. Arshan has found newer, nigh unbreakable bonds in their minions amidst 'The Black March', and his fellow 'Spurned'. They require little more than that to advance their collective aims.   Among all 'The Spurned', however, one holds a place of reverence within Arshan's twisted heart. Vulca. The crafter. Creator of the 'Giants' and victim of 'The Demiurge' and 'The Grand Host' alike. Twice they failed to protect them when it mattered most. They will not fail a third time.

Family Ties

The ties that bound have been severed in all but a few cases. Those that remain do so solely because they share in the same blight that corrupts Arshan. He holds no need for Hazuki, and Dalla is beyond his reach.    'The Pale Conqueror' has a new family now, not one blood, but of rot and ruin. That of 'The Spurned' and 'The Black March'.    In line with the above; Vulca remains close to Arshan, as do the rest of the fallen 'Ascended'. Their prior qualms and discrepancies have been put to rest or cast to the wind. They matter no longer. All that does is ensuring this spiteful world meets its end.

Religious Views

Perhaps once 'The Pale Conqueror' could have been considered religious, in so much that they would adhere to codes and tenets that led to the betterment of one's life. Now, however, they hold little regard for such things. 'The Black March' may revere them as though they were divine, and they are content to permit them to do such, but they themselves do not partake in the worship of any higher power. The only matter they adhere to with any measure of reverent diligence is the pursuit of the world's end.

Social Aptitude

Arshan has not lost their charisma, nor their bold potential to change the hearts of those who heed them. They are capable of spurring their minions into a frenzy just as much as they can drive fear into the hearts of mortals. Between their emotional intellect and capacity to manipulate; 'The Pale Conqueror' remains a proficient social presence among their peers and enemies alike. The fatigue that burdened them behind closed doors remains, but it no longer hampers their advances as it once did. Rather, the time they spend wallowing in their sorrows serves only to fuel their malicious advances.

Mannerisms

The vibrancy of Arshan's mannerisms has been lost since his rebirth, but their bold nature remains. A measure of discipline lingers, though they are far swifter to "lose control" of their gestures when their ire is sufficiently stoked. Whilst they can present themselves in a dignified fashion, it is more difficult to maintain than it was in life, and such pretenses often fall to the wayside once conflict arises. Their motions remain wide and open-hearted, but what they offer is naught but death and despair. In such a way, their newfound nature contributes to the mockery of their former self. Nothing of them went unscathed. Such was the price of their rebirth.

Hobbies & Pets

Very few of Arshan's hobbies persisted beyond death. They still sing in the quiet hours, still hone their martial craft, bathe in the brackish pools of hollow lands and ride upon Shojaa, their twisted warsteed. Little else remains, however. The tree Dalla bequeathed to them has not felt their touch in thirty years. If the faithful still tend this tree in his absence, 'The Pale Conqueror' could muster little but pity for them, and will not stay their blade when the time comes. They hold little care for the sewing Hazuki taught them. They have no need for such garments now. These finer pleasures and simple joys serve them not.   As far as pets are concerned, Shojaa continues to serve 'The Pale Conqueror' beyond death. Twisted and malformed by malintent, this formerly valorous steed now carries their master into the thick of the fray, such that they might quell as many mortals as they can. That such a noble beast should suffer the fate they do is a dour consideration indeed.

Speech

Where once their voice would offer warmth and understanding, now it offers callous promises of ruin and malevolence. It retains its deep timbre, but it has grown coarse and cold in its nature. It is a twisted echo of what once was, fit to chill the marrow of mortals who dare to oppose him. Whilst 'The Pale Conqueror' retains their capacity to speak in a moderate fashion, their capacity to maintain it, and tolerance for that which they consider annoying has waned severely. When their anger is roused; their voice becomes a tumultuous, vicious roar, devoid of care for the wounds their voice may inflict.   In more personal company and circumstances, however, their voice is scarcely more than a whisper. A quiet, and sorrow-filled thing; labored by their nature, and the past that brought them to where they are now.

Wealth & Financial state

'The Pale Conqueror' as an individual holds little need for the ephemeral "wealth of the heart" they once revered in life. Now they define such by the number of resources at their disposal, such that they might better advance the aims of 'The Black March'. Their present wealth, in such a regard, is considerable. From the hordes of minions that stand ready to heed their call, through to the myriad minerals plundered from broken nations, 'The Pale Conqueror' has yet to fear the notion of resource scarcity. They do not fall prey to avarice as others are wont to do, rather, they seek to endlessly hoard, utilize and consume that which they acquire, feeding the fires of their baleful intentions.   The love of their former followers holds no sway over them now. All they could require in such a regard is garnered from the unyielding loyalty and compliance of 'The Black March'.
