Funeral/Kingfisher Festival & Reenactment

Holy crap where to start, today was a lot.
So this morning I woke up to Darrett at the door of the room with a tray of food for breakfast with things like, eggs, bacon, and pastries. The group of us newcomers quickly got dressed and grabbed our things to head out of the room to the funeral of Ispin at the docks. The funeral was short, it was Ispin carried in on a small boat and the boat put down into the water. There was a bagpipe playing in the background. Cudgel & Becklin his old travel companions are the ones that sent him off. On our way to the Brass Crab for the wake I asked Becklin if it was customary to light the boat on fire as it goes down river as it was sent without it being on fire. I think I upset her at the idea of me offering.
 
At the Brass Crab Becklin & Cudgel started by telling stories of Ispin and the crazy encounters they would get into. Becklin asked if anyone else would like to share, that the floor was open. Erno saw me writing something last night and put together that I was writing a small speech just in case and motioned for me to speak. I stepped up in a stool to speak as to be at higher height while speaking to the crowd. I got a couple chuckles at the part with the joke about looking up to Ispin, and a round cheers at the end. But at the end of the speech, there was one Boo in the crowd a young teenage boy Booing just being a ass of himself. Juraj used Prestidigitation to make it look like the boy crapped his pants and made a bad crap smell come from around the kid. Trying to make him leave I added to it by doing Prestidigitation myself but adding the sound of him doing it more as he was getting up from his chair. We ended up telling him to leave as he had nothing nice to say. He was a real shit head of a kid. Turns out he was the son of the local "noble" Bakaris family. Apparently the family is all like that Becklin and Lucas were describing their interactions with the Lord Bakaris. We continued around the room sharing stories about Ispin and sharing drinks cheers-ing to him. Myself, Petals and Juraj saw this beautiful blue skinned Elven woman sitting by herself in the back. I grabbed an extra drink and took it to her and introduced myself to her and she said her name was Ledara. She said she knew Ispin a long time ago. I asked her to join us and have a drink with us and share a story with the group. She declined, I asked her if she had something maybe she could share, she said she was a performer. So I asked what kind, if she was a musician or singer? She said, she was singer. I asked her to please sing something for us as I hadn't heard a beautiful feminine song since my mom would sing to me years ago. She kindly declined and said she couldn't remember a song. I tried to nudge gently with mentioning Take Me Home Gnomish Road. She said she found me refreshingly charming, but seemed done with the conversation at that point so I just went back to the group. I went back to the group to describe the lady everyone and the interaction I had with her and when I went to turn around to point to her she was gone. I don't know what that was about, maybe I upset her too with asking her to sing.
 
After the wake was the Kingfisher festival in full swing. Oh my gods, it was amazing! Erno and I saw a guy go flying in the air coming from the direction of the Gnomeflinger. Erno and I quickly ran off towards that to see if we could do it. Turns out there is a Gnome Tinkerer here in Vogler named, I think something like Stan, I was so excited to see a working Gnomeflinger outside of Nevermind I completely forgot his name. Anyway, no one wanted to do it after that one guy went. I told Erno he could go 1st, I gave him a Motivational Sticky Note before he went to try to help him. So the Gnomeflinger shoots you out towards these 3 different poles and you have to try to grab a flag off the top of the poles. We both missed the first 2 poles, but the last pole was sooo far out. Erno missed it, but I Got The Flag! I came back and apparently it was a huge deal I was able to get the flag. The Tinkerer Stan gave me 5 Gold, A red sash to wear, and a Tiny Clockwork Amulet! I haven't seen one of these amulets since I was back home in Nevermind. I told Stan my dad would be proud of him and I think that confused him. Then Enro and I ran off to the next competition. Turns out Erno is super old he's in his like 200's! So we get to the next competition which was a Fish Pie Eating competition. Everyone competed in the pie eating contest Petals, Juraj, Erno, Lucas, myself and even Cudgel. The final round got down to Juraj, Cudgel and myself. I won! That will show them for making fun of me for my height, everyone always overlooks the little guy till the little guy beats them. The guy Uncle who owns the Fishbowl in town was running this competition and he gave me another sash, this one was green, he also gave me 5 gold and a Heward's Handy Haversack! I couldn't believe my eyes when he was handing it to me! Stuffed full of pie Juraj and I made our way to the next contest a fishing contest, this one the Mayor herself was competing. I didn't see a fishing pole that suited me to use, so I pulled a special one out of my bag and used that as it was my size. I couldn't believe it myself, I won that competition too! We all caught 3 fish over the contest and the final fish I caught was HUGE! It was bigger than I was. The mayor herself came over to me and put a gold sash over me, handed me 10 gold and a magic fishing pole. She gave me a big compliment saying she made the mistake of underestimating me as competition and that by the looks of the other sashes that others did too and congratulated me. I really like the fishing pole but I think it will be better used by Petals.
 
After the fishing contest Darrett came up to us all and said it was time for the Battle Reenactment and that we needed to head to High Hill if we wanted to be a part of it as that's where the battle took place. We were fighting along side of the villagers and Cudgel was having the Militia that she was training act the part as the people attacking Voglers people. As we charged forward on the battlefield the pretend battle quickly became a different atmosphere as laughter quickly became screams of pain and fear. The militia side were not using blunted wrapped weapons, but real, sharp edged weapons attacking and killing villagers. It was no longer the fun filled day that it had quickly became after the wake. At the top of the opposing hill the ugly Ogre looking Lieutenant that Cudgel had been giving orders to removed a covering off his shield, it was Ispins Green Shield that had gone missing. Everything seemed to be coming together. This Lieutenant who Darrett said was named Gragonis seems to have been involved in Ispins death and now attacking the villagers. Juraj took a pretty bad blow from 1 guy in the first wave of enemies, I patched him up some, but while I was distracted healing Juraj I took an arrow to right shoulder. It was a bit of a slog but we got the first wave taken care of. We had a small moment in the heat of battle to breathe, but that was quickly knocked out of us as the 2nd wave closed in, Gragonis himself and several more members of the militia flanking him.
