Funeral/Kingfisher Festival & Reenactment p2.

Session 5, 05/01/25 - Battle Reenactment
 
So the ogre looking dude Gragonis, comes up to attack us wearing Ispins green shield as a taunt. Gragonis was flanked by like 4 or 5 of these skirmishers. I was so shocked by the whole thing I was slow to react. I got off a good shot to hit Gragonis, but that might have been a bad idea as it drew his attention towards me. Which would have been fine if Juraj wasn't standing right next to me and Gragonis threw a spear at him instead of me. Our group quickly wiped the floor with this second wave. Juraj took a pretty bad hit, but the enemy got swept away with the Fists of Fury that is Petals. Petals completely ripped a tusk from Gragonis as he punched him in the face killing him. I took another arrow in the shoulder; freaking arrows.
 
After the battle Becklin, Cudgel, Mayor Raven, and 2 others come running up to us to check on us. Cudgel completely runs up and beats the crap out of the body of Gragonis, swearing obscenities at him. We give the full download to Mayor Raven, Becklin and them. Mayor Raven asked if we had come across Darrett as they hadn't found him yet. I did a quick 360 and didn't see him but saw a group of villagers that got caught in the crossfire. I quickly rushed over to them and came across one that basically had his face caved in when he got trampled. I used my last bit of healing magic and his face popped back out and healed him back with no injuries. I spent the rest of my time at the battlefield bandaging/healing who I could. While I was helping bandage up other people, the one guys face who I popped back out, came up to me and tried to pay me. He was strangely shocked by the me healing him that way and asked how. I told him I kind of met and talked to a God and now I can just do things I didn't know how to do before. That freaked him out even more and that's when he tried to pay me. I told him to keep his money as times are crazy right now and to use it for his family. That seemed to make him even more confused. I seem to be confusing people lately, and I don't know why. Everyone started heading back to town to meet up at the Brass Crab as makeshift infirmary. On my way back I ran up and finally gave the Pole that I'm calling the Bo Staff of Angling to Petals. Watching him test it out, I think he will definitely be able to put it to use more than me.
 
When we get to the Brass Crab and we walk in I just B-line straight to whoever is in charge of healing/bandaging people up and get straight to work. Apparently while I was helping pop joints back into place, put ointments on scrapes, and help close up wounds best I can the group went into the back room. I was so distracted with the injured I didn't even notice anyone was gone. I tried my best getting people cleaned up with my Magic Eraser Fan and try to just bring all those that I could back to better spirits. Luckily no kids got killed, just a few scraped knees and elbows as they were running away. I had Cosmo just play with them and distract them as I cleaned the scrapes.
 
Apparently the whole group made it to the back room to talk about something. Turns out the guy that tried to stab Becklin in the back orchestrated the whole Battle turning bloody by getting Gragonis to talk to some benefactor to help finance the attack . The devotee the captured spilled the beans on being a worshiper of Takhisis and following the orders of some High commander Consoley Fire Eyes who speaks directly to Takhisis. Cudgel gave the idea of some targets would be port towns to help cut off resources to other towns and cities.
Mayor Raven came out of the back room after everyone finished talking with the Takhisis worshipper. She came straight up to me and thanked me for helping out. I was so caught off guard I was a loss for words and just said, "You're welcome".
