We approached the Nesg, and found it shrouded in shadow. Mavinda insists this not normal, but given his preferences regarding luminance I find this slightly improbable.

Mavinda also had a dream. He said we were kin, but I find this confusing. I lack feathers, he lacks an exterior metal casing capable of withstanding great force without crumpling. Apparently he was stolen from his clutch as a chicken. Regretable.

We met an acolyte of Mavinda's order, turned to a revenant bent on revenge. He told us of great evil lurking in the shadows. Chances of success have dropped to 80%.

We fought a Shadow Dragon in the nest. Success chance dropped to 50%. We defeated him, with me landing the killing blow. His weakness became clear to me at the last moment: bullets to the face.

As the dragon died and faded to shadow, I felt a strange vibration in my cranial region. I believe they call it a "headache". Fascinating.

The dragon's spirit is not gone. My sensors tell me it is right behind me, but my optical sensors reveal no such thing. Requires further study.
