Darrett Highwater is an aspiring knight who serves Becklin Uth Viharin. His parents abandoned him in town over a decade ago, after which Darrett spent years as a ward of the community before coming under Becklin's wing. -

Session 3: The Kingfisher Festival
The day of the Kingfisher Festival is upon the small village of Vogler, preceded by Ispin Greenshield's funeral in the morning. But the circumstances surrounding Ispin's death are more than a little suspicious. While the handful of claw marks about the body seem to suggest some kind of animal attack, the killing blow, a single, pinpoint thrust through the chest, must have come from an exceptionally strong source; doubly so when considering that the strike pierced solid full plate. Becklin has agreed to show you the location where Ispin's body was found, and asked you to participate in the funeral in the morning. Armed with little more than suspicious circumstances, you depart for the site, hopeful that you might uncover additional details to help solve the mystery.

The Dragon Queen’s conquest of Ansalon has begun. The eastern half of the continent has already fallen, and the Red Dragon Army has tested its forces against isolated and fractious lands. The Dragon Army now turns its attention to the west—to the land of Solamnia, a nation known as the home of knights and heroes. Now, the true war begins.
