Each summer, as the river mist rises and the petals bloom anew, the people of Liǔ Qiáo (Willow Bridge) gather in harmony beneath banners of crimson and gold. Lanterns are lit. Blessings are whispered in the sacred tongue. Children laugh as they carry reeds strung with Ashblooms, and elders guide a solemn procession from the Shrine of the Betrothed to the Liǔ Qiáo River. Today is not a day of mourning, It is a day of memory. A vow once made shall be renewed and the fire that binds the realms of old and new shall burn once more.
