81. Dinner with Destiny Report
General Summary
20th Barrakas, 999 YK
- They arrive back at Rhukaan Draal.
- Kalshana starts teaching Lozaal Daashor Riedran.
- They have a chat with Nashana about her mental state following her resurrection, and the pressure she feels at having a second chance at life. Why her?
- Woah
- Warden goes back to the Bloody Market to buy more bananas, and takes Tete Shaat'aar with him for negotiating power.
- It goes well! Tete pays 3 ogre tusks for 12 bananas. Still ripped off?
- After they leave, they summon their horses to find a note from Terfel Glas, saying to contact him ASAP and let him know how long they'll be.
- Kalshana uses Sending, conversation recorded below.
- Following that conversation, Terfel Glas goes to inform Oargev ir'Wynarn of the timeline.
- The party asked Tete Shaat'aar again where he was going, and he told them he was bound for Suthar Draal, to report to his warlord the Prince of Bones. He provided some exposition, the Prince of Bones is rumoured to be the son of Sora Maenya and learned the secrets of the Karrnathi Bone Knights.
22nd Barrakas, 999 YK
1st Rhaan, 999 YK
- They arrive at Matshuc Zaal, and Tete Shaat'aar is allowed across the border despite his lack of travel papers.
- They part ways with Tete Shaat'aar here, as he's going back to Droaam and New Cyre is out of his way. He says he'll see them again when they die, if not before.
7th Rhaan, 999 YK
- They arrive back to New Cyre. In the evening, they gat back to Avrahk Mbar'ost, where Terfel Glas is waiting for them.
- They sit down and have a meal together, and introduce Nashana to the others. Unfortunately, Daine made rabbit stew and Nashana is a vegetarian.
- Afterwards, Terfel Glas leads them to the library and kicks Lei out. Juniper glares at them.
- Terfel Glas has a brief disagreement with Lozaal Daashor, but the others vouch for him.
- Terfel informs the party that Nyrielle Tam has located the Swords of Liberty headquarters, and that Oargev ir'Wynarn has been invited to a summit in Droaam to re-evaluate the nation's sovereignty.
- It's a 26 day journey to Graywall from New Cyre, assuming they take the Lightning Rail.
- Terfel is going to the summit regardless. Thankfully, the party are willing to go.
- Nyrielle Tam or someone else representing the King's Citadel are in New Cyre to discuss the Swords of Liberty.
- Terfel Glas had heard some rumours about Flamewind when investigating. It seems that she was recovered from a giant ruin in Xen'drik by a Morgrave University expedition. She told them they were taking her back to "the land of fiends", and they couldn't exactly say no. She currently lives at the university, but the Dean doesn't let people see her. Apparently she eats students that ask stupid questions.
Sending Conversation between Kalshana and Terfel
Kalshana: Hi Terfel, we are on the way. We have company - a kalashtar and a big bone troll. Just over two weeks away. Why? Kal x
Terfel: I had hoped to hear from you earlier. We have urgent matters to discuss. Meet me as you return, your new... friends can rest.
Kalshana: Sorry, we were in the Mournland, long story. Fought a kraken and oni (not at the same time). Can you advise what this is about?
Terfel: No worries, I understood I may not hear from you for a while. Sounds like a great story. We'll talk more when you arrive.
Kalshana: Sorry, just to clarify, what is the issue? We really need to know :) cause it seemed pretty urgent.Thanks in advance! Kal x
