Session 42: After The Collection Report

General Summary

Having turned away from the body of Ornable, Eleanor looks back to Ayame with a soured expression, sighing while looking at the corpse. She looks to Nahemah. "Do y'all do... burials or somethin?"
Nahemah looks away from the corpse with a sigh, now confirming that he's dead. She replies, slightly horse. 'We do. For the faithful and the just. the best I can do is--" She says before hearing the horrific sound of Ayame swallowing ornable to hold onto him out of everyones sight, turning around to confirm its exactly what she is hearing. "Im going to do everything in my power to get this sight out of my mind someday..."
Ayame looks back to Nahemah and Eleanor with a smile before making her way to the carriage, giggling. "I'm just storing him, he said he wants to be creamted in the forest outside of the ruins."
"At LEAST give me the time to sanctify his corpse next time you gluttonous fox!" Nahemah says exasperatedly.
"Right... you can do that." Eleanor says, looking at the kitsune with a sigh. "I don't think I knew you could do things that large... spirits are wierd... Well at least that sorts out that."
Nahemah wipes her face with her hands. "Lets just... go to that hoard of his if possible. We don't want to leave things unfinished now do we? We have a possible war to stop and that 'boogieman' to slay."
Ragia taps a nearby rock, settting a spell upon it, as the rest of the party hops onto the carriage as well. Eleanor speaks up, sitting down atop the carriage. "Well now that the moods ruined, we goin to check out this old mans magic horde of heirlooms?"
Nahemah sighs. "Might as well."
"Considerin one of the things he considered an artifact was an old bullet..." She says, looking to Ayame whos tails are swishing very quickly behind her. "I wouldn't be gettin too excited. We'll see though."
Ayame ensures everything is strapped down as Eleanor taps her finger in thought. "We just use that locket now right?"
Ayame nods, holding up the locket. "Everyone ready?"
"As ready as i'll ever be." Nahemah says deadpan.
Ayame opens the locket, and presses down upon the saphire. The carriage vanishes, and the group is whisked away in an instant. Though the teleportation was quick and painless, Nahemah leans over the side of the cart before she barely gets in the sights of the city, retching loudly.
The carriage stands atop a large building, with a pathway leading down into the great forests of Vitium, nearly a mile away from the city itself. Looking backwards, the party sees the Mioiarann Mountains, the home of the dwarves standing tall and ominous. Beneath them, they see that the city itself is made from a light basalt, obviously imported from elsewhere compared to the granite mountains to the west. The architecture remenicent of greek architecture, though the damage from ages past has worn down the stone, nearly crumbled from an attack on the city long ago. Several buildings appear on this raised plateau that the party has landed upon, each loking well worn, but with newly refurbished doors made from simple wood.
"Wasn't the city supposed to be empty? These doors look recent and lived in." Ragia says.
"Ornable probably installed them." Ayame replies, moving to nahemah and patting her back. "There there." She says with a smile.
"FUCK!" Nahemah says, wiping her mouth. "I've never had an issue with teleportation like this since I was a kid. Probably all the stress we've been under in the past few weeks."
She looks up at the city, Sergale, the old capital city of Drakenvald. She remembers the stories her mother told her about how she once went to see what remained of the city during one of her trips to the north. The phrase, "cold and desolate" rings as true with her mothers words as it does with Nahemah now. Even with this cold desolation, Nahemah can't help but look about, gasping at the beautiful architecture before reaching into her pack, pulling out a torn piece of paper and writing "Made it." Before tossing it aside.
"This is... not what I was expecting..." Eleanor says hopping off of the carriage, looking about. "Was I the only one expectin some hidden cave layer?"
Ayame looks about as well, looking to Eleanor. "Well... I was expecting... less... but not a cave."
"Momma Rea has been here before. The old capital city, Sergale. I didn't expect this either, but... its not surprising that a trove of such treasure would be here."
"Probably in one of those three buildings." Ayame says pointing at the new doors that the party noticed.
"Yeah if I had to guess... that'd be it." Nahemah says with a nod.
"Lets hope he didn't think to boobytrap this place to hell too." Ragia says.
"Yeah... I hsould probably check for that." Nahemah says, placing her hands together.
"Right well.... you lead the way... this city's well out of my confort zone." Eleanor says.
"Let my eyes be true and see all the hidden magics of the world, by those of evil and the just. By the power granted by Rhamnasia!" Nahemah chants out as her eyes flicker with a magical glow.
Nahemah makes her way to each door, checking it for magical auras at the push of Ayame, finding nothing on them. "Well the doors aren't magically trapped at least. Who wants to go in first?"
"Well... if they are locked I can walk through them and take a look." Ayame says, hopping from Sebastians shoulder and opening the door. She peers inside the first building, the southernmost one. The inside appears to be what looks like a museum of cared for and cleaned up junk. The walls are lined with shelves upon shelves of strange looking items, from weapons to bits of trash, to the occasional usable item. The collection is so vast it covers the walls, with larger items in the center of the somewhat thin building. Each section of wall divided into different "types" of what the items within them are, with lables above each shelf.
"Oooooh!" Ayame says, her eyes going wide as she steps inside. She looks over some of the labels as her party follows her in, seeing "Weapons, Scrap Metal, Powders" and many more. Directly in front of the door iseems to be a create, filled completely with random tidbits of junk that it appears Ornable did not get to sorting before he passed away.
Nahemah leans in to Ayame, whispering. "Is... that everything you think?"
Ayame pulls out a pen and paper. "Uhm... I mean it's a huge collection, buut if it's his lifes work there could be more in other areas."
Ragia looks to Eleanor. "How accurate was he lableling all of this?"
Eleanor looks to Ragia with surprise, "Er-... lemme take a look." She says going to the shelf labeled 'weapons.' She sorts through them, a few of the items being foreign to anyone... other than Eleanor, with the odd mishapen pipe, once the barrel of a gun. But one item stands out completely from everything else. A still, completely intact, razor sharp dagger, with drawings and scripture in a familiar language. The most interesting part however, is the strange material it is made with, seen by no-one else of this world.
Eleanor grabs the dagger, looking at it closer. "So far everything seems... rightish..."
Ayame explores the different exibits, taking notes of anything she might recognize. She notices things like old shriveeld dragon scales and hide, a petrified heart, and a scythe. Things easily found and recognized, but another thing she notices, is an arm, made completely out of metal, but with fascinating mechanical craftsmanship beyond anything dwarves of the current time could make.
Looking through this room itself, the party finds nearly 48 shelves within the room, with the party clammering around like kids in a candy store, save for Eleanor, who does make out a few words from the dagger. "One strike, to strike down, three moons, into two."
Eleanor raises her brow, squinting at the lttering, muttering the words in her known tongue before looking back to the group. "Wierd question, but has there ever been three moons?"
Nahemah looks to a section labled, "Liquids" shere she starts going through a few vials. "All scripture has told us about two moons, never three. Its about Tutella and her sacrifice to protect the world."
"So nothin about three moons." Eleanor says, picking up a belt she found in a different shelf, looking about before coming upon a "fragile" shelf, on which a completely intact glass sphere, with a metal end, and some bits of copper wire poke its way about on the interior of the glass. She picks it up and starts observing it. "Now that's... somethin..."
Nahemah ends up finding a set of bones with special markings on them, recognizing them as divination bones and pocketing them before anyone else can take a look. Ayame doing the same with an obviously magical book. Seeing everyone grab things, her curiosity piqued, Eleanor holds onto the glass item and closes her eyes, reading the object.

Eleanor is whisked back in time, very far where she sees her surroundings, nighttime at a port town, far from where her home would have been, though some of the clothing looks familiar as people chatter away under the street lamp that Eleanor is sitting atop. After a few loud blares of a horn, the people flee the streets into whatever cover that they can, while cannons fire off from massive airborn ships, with "Free Muffins!" painted on the sides. These cannons fire off, with one hitting the lightpost, sending it crashing into the water. The last thing Eleanor smells before the saltwater, is the smell of a gunpowder fried blueberry muffin making its last mark on her world. And with that, Eleanor opens her eyes, now back within the museum.

Eleanor stands in place, holding onto the lightbulb with an expression of extreme confusion after reading it. Too many questions and emotions to express, to whic hshe just stands there, looking at it... trying to process what she saw. After a few minutes while the rest of the party searches the building, she sets the lightbulb down and moves to Nahemah. "Hey er..." She says looking back to the shelf, then back to Naomi. "Find anything um... interestin?"
Nahemah panicks, quickly shoving a bunch of stuff into her bag. "U-uh! J-just a few knickknacks here and there haha..." She says looking nervous. "L-like these vials and bags of powder? C-could be anything!" She says shoving a few into her bag."
Eleanor nods. "Well I have a belt here that looks a little religion-y?" She says holding up the belt she found. "Oh and a knife that talks about the three moons I mentioned."
Ragia stands next to the two of them, eating a very fresh looking BLT, with the crust removed. "I got a sandwich~"
"Nice sandwich? Does it taste good?" Nahemah says with a chuckle, patting Ragia's head.
Ragia takes another bite, realizing that the 'T' in her BLT is actually a fried green tomato. She gives Nahemah a thumbs up, as Ayame also finds a sandwich right beside her, but she picks it up to observe it.
Nahemah looks at the belt, finding nothing about the symbol that is familiar. "Its.. a religious symbol, but I have no idea for what religion. I've never seen anything remotely like it in all my years of study. We need it appraised by someone of greater skill than me." She says before noticing Ayame holding a sandwich exactly like Ragia is eating. "Uhh... where did you two get those sandwiches?"
Eleanor looks to a shelf next to her and points out another sandwich that appeared beside her. "Did we always have sandwiches here? Are we bein haunted by sandwich makers?"
"It just kinda... appeared." Ayame says.
"Eleanor..." Nahemah says, pointing to the sandwhich next to her. "Pick up that sandwich... see if another appears."
Eleanor squints at the sandwich. "I don't trust it... my instincts tell me free food from ghosts is bad."
As soon as Eleanor finishes speaking, a plate of dinosaur shapped chicken nuggets appears on a plate next to the sandwich out of thin air, the only sign of its arrival being a small flash of light.
Nahemah stares at the new plate. "Do... you trust those dino nuggies?"
"What-what?? What do you mean TRUST! Those just appeared out of thin air!!" Eleanor says.
Nahemah and Ragia pick up one each and start to eat them, recognizing them as tasting exactly like chicken nuggets, but Ragia playing with one on her plate with a giggle before eating it. "They taste normal to me?" Nahemah says with a shrug.
Eleanor squints at the nuggets. "what're those even shaped like... is this some magic thing from another era? Before the er... whatsit that almost ended the world?"
"Consumption." Ayame says, looking about for the source of the magical nugget and sandwhich generator.
Another plate of chicken nuggets appears, away from Nahemah and Ragia but still close to Eleanor. Nahemah finishes the previous plate of nuggets while speaking. "Well, if another plate appears, this is a magic item and we're taking i-" She says seeing the new plate of nuggets appear. "What the fuck?"
Looking at this new plate for Eleanor and Nahemah, this one has fried potatoes in the shape of a smile, as well as the dinosaur nuggets.
"Allright..." Eleanor says with a blink, while Nahemah starts looking about for this magical object. "Those're..." She says looking closer at the food. "I mean not... death at least? One sec." She says grabbing the plate, and moving it away quickly. She humms and sets it down on a lower shelf where Ragia instantly eats all of the food on it. As soon as Ragia eats it however, a new plate arrives and Eleanor spots where it appears. The source of light starts exactly where the food appears at, and expands into the food itself. This time however, the food has ketchup writing on the edge of the plate. "This is for little ellie only! No touching!"
"This is a problem." Nahemah says, looking at the writing.
"Spookie." Ayame says looking at the plate as well.
Eleanor spots the writing and shakes her head. "W-what the... little? Who... if you're not magic... are you from that fancy metal covered era or somethin?" She asks to the air.
"H-hello? I-is this the goddess of food spawning in some treats?" Nahemah says shakilly.
"Like... its a lota lights and metal and beeps and boop noises time?" Eleanor says with a grumble. "Okay... i'm going to eat some of these... then can you answer my question?" She says grabbing a few of the smiley face potatoes. "Oh... potatoes... sorta." She says continuing to munch.
Ayame shrugs, munching on her sandwich. "Should we check out the other areas?"
Nahemah nods. "Its not responding so... lets just... check around... this place is... eerie."
Eleanor finishes off her plate and hums. "They don't seem unfriendly at least." She says looking to Nahemah. "Oh its not that bad. The free food from a nonmagic but invisible entity is a lil strange though, I'd at least like a name or face."
"I..." Nahemah says with a shakey sigh. "Y-yeah. Lets just move on. There's a few more areas to search through. I'll lead the way again?"
The party makes their way out of the first building and look at the other two atop their ruined city. Eleanor looks around to her party. "Why not get the small one over and done with first? Has to only be like... a few things in there hopefully. There was a lot in that last one."
With some agreement, the party makes their way into the central hub, the smallest of the three buildings. The party opens the doors and find massive items from the collection within this central building. From a strange looking item that looks akin to a orrery, one Nahemah recognizes, to a section of what looks to be the hull that Eleanor recognizes from her vision. many other objects are cluttered around the building, and in the center of the room, a single well made bed positioned to view the planatarium. On the far side of the room, amid all the other objects, a nearly perfectly intact metal box with a black, glass like section on the front stands out among the other pieces as it gives off a soft whirr, and a pixelated smile appears on the screen.
"ouo/" comes the face and it dissapears after a moment before words start to appear. "Welcome to the Cafeteria kids! You already had your lunch, but don't forget that exercize is the other important part of any rangers day!"
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" Nahemah shouts out before hiding behind Ayame and her tails.
"Hey!" the machine types out on its screen. "Nahemah, your mother would be very upset with that kind of language. Please do not use naughty words around the other children, or I will have to ask for the captain to speak with her as soon as we are in com range."
Eleanor blinks in surprise but shrugs. "E-er... right, this kinda tracks. Thank you for the food I guess? Are you..." She says looking around at all the metal junk within the building. 'Just... part of all this metal stuff? Do you have a name?"
"Welcome abord Little Ellie! Im happy to meet you, as your scan has given me your dietary restrictions and nutritional information for your care. I am S T A C Y."
"System for
Tasty
Adolecence by
Culinary
joY!"

Nahemah peeks out from behind Ayame's tails, mutterin, "Y-you know my name... a-and my mom?!" She says shakilly.
"I detect that you are feeling scared Nahemah. Do not worry! This space camp has a 99.999999999999% success rate on proper care and safety for its passengers, including you! Meeting new people is always a terrifying experience, but I hope we can become friends soon. I hope you enjoyed your lunch? I made it with love and partical acceleration!"
Eleanor raises a brow looking back and forth between Nahemah and STACY. 'You scanned me and didn't freak out? Well I suppose thats... good. Its nice to meet you STACY, not sure what ya are, but I can tell you that I'm well past adolecence. Did Ornable set ya up here?"
Ayame, extremely curious about STACY steps up to the box. "Are you a construct? when were you created? What magic powers you?" She says quickly, very curious about the box as she scrambles around and over it, trying to find some sort of access port. As soon as Ayame moves towards it, Nahemah hides behind Eleanor instead, casting her spell to detect magic and looking at it again, finding nothing.
"System check: Ornie. Access Denied, captain required for passenger information, voice recognition of Captain Walloway the 2nd required. I am an artificial intelligence created by the steelshod company, I do not breathe, or eat like you do, but I was created for the purpose of making sure that in space, you can eat and breath just as you could back on your own world!
The screen flashes red with an 'ERROR: Vaccume not found, noise machine damaged. Fart.exe failed.' "Just be careful as sometimes the air can smell a little foul. Remember your guidebook about sulfuric and acidic smells and report them to the captain immediately."
Ayame blinks after reading all of that. "Will do!" She says before pausing. "I don't suppose you can identify anything in this room huh?"
"You should seek out your registered teacher if you have questions regarding your environment. I can only scan biological data, and as such, with a metal ship, cannot penetrate the majority of its hull with my scan. As such, your registered teacher can give you more detailed information on your environment. I am S T A C Y, and am programed to give food... and smiles!"
Nahemah hisses at STACY. 'That... that accursed thing isn't natural! It talks and makes faces but has no magic! It is no golem!"
Eleanor blinks in surprise at Nahemah. "I'm pretty sure its powered by electricity I think?" She says thinking for a moment before humming. "It's? They're? Stacy what're your pronouns?"
"Nahemah, I am sorry that you feel the need to shout, but its not appropriate for an enclosed space. Your adreneline is surging and as such, I reccomend taking a few minutes to sit back and just breathe." Stacy types out on her screen.
"More nuggies please?" Ragia says making grabby hands as another plate of food appears in their hands, "Of course Ragia! but you have had a lot to eat lately and my scans do not detect a growth spurt in your near future. However, I would reccomend bringing the captain and a teacher to access restricted parental information. Please seek out Captain Walloway the 2nd immediately, your classes for the day will be cancelled." Stacy says, ignoring Eleanors question.
"Like... lightning...? Huh..." Nahemah says to eleanor before looking angry at STACY again. "Y-YOU shush STACY! Y-you can't fool me! You're just a mimic aren't you!" You just want to bite my arms and legs off and eat me the moment I get close!"
"Lightning? Erhm... Sorta like..." She says with a sigh. "I dunno how to describe it, but you could probably power it with lightning magic stuff If thats a thing though yeah? I think..."
"But... even if thats true." Ayame says, standing back with Eleanor and Nahemah again. "there is no source of electricity, or uhm... this electricity around..."
"Sounds like we have to find this Walloway." Eleanor says.
"Ah..." Ayame says whispering to Eleanor. "this was made pre consumption, mr walloway probably died eons ago."
"Ragia, when you find Captain Walloway, please inform him that he is past due for his daily check in. Last check in was 182589040 days ago."
Ayame blinks and nods, counting on her fingers for a moment. "Yeah... definetly dead... but we know that his last check in was 499901 years ago... roughly."
"Good job Ayame! You have gotten so good at math! have a treat!" S T A C Y says as a bowl of chocolate mint ice cream appears in her hands, much to the delight and joy of Ayame, who takes a happy bite, her tails swishing.
"Hey er... Stacy, what's the... rules for when both first and second captains have died? Cause unless this Walloway's a... er- the same thing that you are then they probably are." Eleanor says.
"If the captain is no longer around, an emergency beacon will be sounded off for UFP to arrive, and give S T A C Y an updated report of the passenger list at the next docking station. But don't worry about that, Captain Walloway is in excelent health and his priority is to make sure that every child is safe, and learning comfortably. Just like my priority is to make sure you are well fed and happy!"
"But Nahemah, I am sorry that you are so scared. Is there something I could do to help you relax?"
"I reccomend speaking to Captain Walloway if you are scared of being away from your mother. He can get in coms with her and you two can talk about your trip."
"Stop being an abomination to the gods!" Ayame yells at the machine.
Eleanor rubs her head in frustration, trying to think over Nahemah's yelling. "Hn... that sounds like a no to me... Hrm... well Stacy, one or two more questions for ya. If you know how long its been since you last spoke to Walloway, can you tell how old things are?" "I can tell Eleanor that you are twenty nine years old! You have grown up so well, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't have a balanced meal three times a day. If you want snacks, you know you can always come to me to get a little extra ou-"
"How can you tell the captain is healthy?" Ragia says interrupting STACYs text.
"Oh. That answers that, here I was guessing 31." Eleanor says with an affirming nod.
"My biological scans allow me to confirm the health of anyone within my cafeteria. Again, Please go get captain Walloway, and if you don't feel comfortable getting your teacher, then just get captain Wallowway Ragia." Stacy types out.
Ayame motions for the party to leave as Eleanor sighs and nods. "Alright, lets go try to find this five hundred thosuand year old Walloway." She says as everyone begins to leave, Nahemah sprinting out the door.
Nahemah slams the door behind them. "I-I am NOT going back in there, someone else can search the room for valuables."
"Stacy seemed a lil... limited in function so I wouldn't be too scared. I can search that later though sure. Lets go see if this Walloway actually exists now, if they're still alive there's a good chance they're like Stacy though so.... be emotionally prepared for that." Eleanor says.
"No way he is actually alive" Ayame says, shaking her head. "And...it does seem to have limitations but... anything that can do what it can... read minds, read our essence, teleport and create things...could be very dangerous...if its age made it malfunction, get angry, or anything like that...it could easily kill us. It's capabilities seem to be at least on the level of a minor artifact. The world must have progressed incredibly far before the consumption in that artifacts time"
Digesting Ayame's words for a while, the party splits up, looking through the rest of the collection, finding that the final building is filled to the brim with catalogues of information, and bits of history pieced together from before the consumption. Even from just the brief look on all the paperwork done throughout the years, it appeared to even Ayame to take many many years to sort through and catalogue everything.
"How much do you think we could make if we sold everything to Orzhov?" Ragia says. "Ornable technically gave us all this as his last wish after all... Also I'm keeping STACY." "If you bring that GODLESS abomination near me I will cry!" Nahemah shouts to Ragia.
"But it's free food! Also, I want to find this captain if he's somehow still alive in there too." Ragia says.
"I don't want that hing with us eather, It's freaky." Ayame says to a now pouting Ragia. "But this could all be worth a fortune... I think we should give it to Orzhov... I am sure that we will be greatly rewarded for this in both goodwill and favors alongside monetary value.... Aside from them, I don't know anyone else who would be able to afford this much.... Also they could make the best use out of all of this as well."
"I'm going to check STACY one last time. This captain stuff has me curious. Wanna come with me Ele?" Ragia says.
Eleanor looks to Ragia, her thoughts barely tuning into the conversation. "I don't mind the machine personally... But wouldn't Espeaux want a cut of this too?"
Nahemah nods. "Indeed. We know where the stuff is. It's not like it's a very hidden area to us anymore. We have some other obligations to fulfill now."
Ayame looks to Nahemah. "Can you send Violet and Espeaux a message? Perhaps they could teleport here?"
"It... I can. I can totally do that. Just... expect it to take a while, Message is not an easy spell to cast for me." Nahemah says sheepishly. Ragia goes into the 'cafeteria' while Nahemah starts casting the spell. After a minute of casting, Nahemah speaks. "We found pre-consumption artifacts. Hidden in Drakenvald old capital. Come teleport them."
With a bit of discussion from the party, after only thirty secconds, a portal opens between the players, Violet and Espeaux stepping out and looking around. Violet immediately running up to Nahemah and hugging her. "YOU FOUND IT?!" She nearly screams while Espeaux, wearing dark clothing and shaded eyewear to help with the sunlight looks to Ayame with an approving nod. "Well well... It looks like my expectations for you were greatly exceeded. Good job."
Eleanor watches the two appear with a blink. "Well they dropped everythin real fast."
Nahemah eeps, surprised at the sudden Violet grabbing onto her. "H-holy f-fuuu...fuuudge... You came through fast! C-could you let me down though? You might squeeze my organs out of me if you're not careful..."
Violet grins, letting Nahemah down, and patting her gently, the feeling of overwhelming magical pressure coming off of Ayame as her tail swishes back and forth excitedly, looking about the fallen kingdom while her tail whips in excitement.
Espeaux turns to Nahemah. "The fact is, this is a major source of information. As Orzhov is the formost in this sort of information. It behooves us to do thins... Expeditiously." She says eying violet for a brief moment. "The only downside is that we are technically either grave robbing or infiltrating another kingdom to steal its resources, so we can't stay here for very long."
"Oh, well my understanding is that Ornable is the only one who knew about this place..." Ayame says. "And we dispatched him... and I have his corpse..."
"Since you guys are here, can I ask about a few items I found as well?" Nahemah says.
"Not to add to the info here," Eleanor pipes up. "But while there's probably plenty magical fun here, I think the majority of this stuff is just... plain stuff from ancient times. Couple of every day objects and lamps and such."
Violet tilts her head at the questions pummeling the leaders of Orzhov. "Well of course we can answer questions for my little cookie~"
Espeaux taps her own lips with a single finger, looking to Eleanor. "How would you describe the usage, appearance, and texture of a sword to someone who has never heard of, seen, or held a sword before?"
"W-well... I just... I wanted to ask my mother about this," Nahemah says to Violet. "But I figured you two should know about this, or would know more... I found a vial of..." She gulps. "A vial of the soul of a dead god."
"The fact is that allthough to some people each piece may be junk, each tiny detail will give a complete picture of what life was like... For example." Espeaux says before pausing, and slowly looking to Nahemah. "Say what?"
Eleanor also looks to Nahemah. "Okay I think I knew those could die but I didn't know you could bottle em."
Violets eyes go wide at this notion, her jovial excitement dropping. "Eh? I've never heard of such a thing, although it makes sence they would exist, most of the gods were once mortals." She says holding out a hand. "Show me."
"I uh... No offense Violet, but I think you'd down it. I'd rather show Espeaux in this case." Nahemah says, taking the vial out of her pack, and showing it to Espeaux.
Espeaux looks at the vial, immensly interested, muttering to herself. "Just immagine... the things we could do with that." She says, her eyes nearly sparkling behind her eyewear. "One normal soul can change the world but the soul of a god..." She says continuing to look it over.
"Eleanor!" Ragia calls out from inside the cafeteria. "How much you think you can lift girl?"
Eleanor calls out back to Ragia. "Er... a couple hundred pounds or so at least?"
"Darnit... don't think you can flip stacy with that?"
"I'm pretty sure there's a chance we break STACY that way." Eleanor says going into the room. "Still need to find that captain fella too."
"Just need to lift her up to check if there's nothing written under." Ragia says while Eleanor closes the door behind her.
Espeaux turns to Nahemah. "You realize I do not want to give this back to you." She says, placing a hand on the vial. "What do you want for it?"
Ayame watches Eleanor go help Ragia before blinking and looking back to Espeaux and Violet. "Oh yeah, there is some kind of construct in the other room that seems intelligent, but has no sign of magic at all. It can spontaneously create food and read your mind to figure out your favorite food... but it does seem unable to understand some fundemental aspects of reality. For example, it thinks everyone is a child in a school on some sort of ship... and it claims to be 499901 years old... roughly."
Nahemah looks back to Espeaux. "I want the world to change for the better. For unneeded suffering to end. If a god has truely perished, if that is truely its soul then it can do the world one last deed of good. There is a war breaking out soon. Please see to it that it ends if you can. Stop the deaths that should never happen." She pauses, thinking to herself. "Also... ask Momma Ariel to send me some of her baked goods while you're at it."
Espeaux gives a quick nod. "Which kingdoms, Violet can handle that, and I'll get you those baked goods myself." She says taking the soul and pocketing it. "but I will have more to give you as soon as everything else is taken care of, this is a great gift, and just one of the many wonders we can find here." Espeaux says with a sigh.
"The countries of Cinerosa and Baal." Nahemah says. "The man who collected all of these artifacts started an artificial war between the two countries so that he could use the distraction to find more artifacts. And... well... I mean saving lives is a well enough present for me, but if you have more to give me I will not deny it."
"Also if the war goes through, Anguish may invade them both once their forces are depleted." Ayame adds.
"I would like to ask you two to watch over me as well... while I drink this other Vial. I did an Augury on it, and it seems that it has both good and bad effects. It's the Vial of the Forgotten King."
Espeaux sighs. "Look, i know you are your mothers child." She says before flicking her wrist, Violet vanishing in a puff of teleportation magic. "But drinking strange things you don't understand is a bad... bad idea. I never even heard about it, and I literally wrote the library on ancient unknown artifacts."
"Well... yeah but how else am I going to figure out what it does?" Nahemah says.
"If you are willing to be the sole test subject for this unknown substance, be my guestt. Don't drag people into your mistakes. Make them, and live with the consequences."
Nahemah pouts and whines. "Fiiine, but if I'm ever in a tight spot, I'm using it without question."
Ayame pats Nahemah. "I can take a look at it later and see if I can figure it out... I'm not much of an alchemist though... Maybe Ragia would be better."
"I'VE studied alchemy and even I have no fucking, uh, fudging idea what this thing is!" Nahemah says exasperatedly.
Ayame gives a nod, looking to Espeaux. "Where did you send Violet?"
"To the middle of where the most likely place for a war between the two countries would take place. To the north of The Ash Forest along the border of Cinerosa. Anyway~" She says pulling out a bag from underneeth her robes and fiddling with it.
"I still can't believe you two just..." Nahemah hsays, eyeing the bag along with Ayame. "Showed up."
Espeaux pulls out a strange looking chair, that, to the uniformed observer looks like an aluminium electric chair, with four wires coming off of the helmet. She sets it down before Ayame. "This is yours."
Ayame blinks, tilting her head and examining the chair. "E-Eh? What is it?" She asks before examining the chair closely.
"I'm forgetting the name..." Espeaux says before putting a hand on the helmet. "But... I have a feeling you want this. You plug the wires from the helmet into the ground, and you can control that ground... even pushing it into the sky... now granted, the effects are limited..." She says as Ayame looks at her in wonder. "And it requires a huge mental investment... but if this one item is enough of an indicator, i still get the better end of the deal."
