Articles Sorting

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I rework my world a lot, fixing mistakes, changing the theme, incremental improvements mostly, but still there have been some rather large changes. However some of the older articles are not updated to my new standard, and i dont have a good method of finding which of my articles have not been edited/updated in a long while. I have to do so manually and from memory and that is very annoying.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Add a filter to the article browser, just as you can browse for newest articles, allow an option to browse for articles that have not been updated for a long time.

What are other uses for this feature request?

It allows the user to not only bring older articles into line with narrative or worldbuilding alterations but also allow the author to refresh older articles with any improvements made to their writing style.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! An order by date filter in the articles manager will be implemented in a future update.

Great suggestion, honestly. I've got a few older things running about that I'd like to just get a hold of in one place at one time so I can update them accordingly. More/better options in this regard are always nice!

I'm in the same boat. I would love to be able to easily find my oldest articles to bring them in line with my current world plan. Even just an option to reverse the lists that exist would be wonderful. What better way to find the articles that need exposure and improvement than by listing them by least viewed and least liked?

agreed. an option to sort by last edited would be helpful. It would also allow me to pick up where I left off on recent articles more easily. to see a list of what I've been focusing on the most. want to give this more coins but I don't have em

Some advanced filtering, including multi filters or specific date ranges filtering would be good for flexibility rather than just older ones.

As you start to build more content, the ability to search over document properties becomes increasingly useful. I'd like this as an option too.

Tags can be helpful for this in the interim. I tag my articles with the year & month I last made major updates to it, so I can find articles that haven't been edited in a while. Also gives the benefit of being able to list out what I worked on over time.

I, too, feel that the filter options are a too limited. Would it be possible to add a way to make queries with more than one filter as well?
