What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I frequently find myself creating lore in my setting I want to use in another one, IE an organization in my homebrew world that also fits into my character's backstory. The character is in another world, but rather than move the article over I want to copy the contents into the second world to modify there to fit without re-crating entirely.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

The requested feature is for a copy button, preferably right under the move button in the advanced options of all articles.

What are other uses for this feature request?

This could easily be abused by people who really hate their free time to create their own farm of custom templates to draw from across their personal WA multiverse. Also making extremely complex series of near identical with one detailed changed dimensions. Maybe actually useful uses too. Mostly just using lore across settings though.

The Team's Response

This suggestion has not gathered enough support during its voting period.   In addition article copying although it will be likely be addressed carries with it a lot more complexities than those described, more importantly, the article-to-article connections related to a world.

      Cloning Articles
    Cloning Article URL   He has stated the goal would be to clone the article in the existing world, and to transfer the cloned article to another world. You would NOT be able to clone directly to another world.

    Cloning articles is already under investigation, and after that you'd be able to move the cloned article to another world the same way you can now move any article.

    There is already an ACCEPTED feature suggestion for cloning articles. In that feature suggestion, Dimi has stated that cloning between worlds will not happen.     From my understanding and from viewing other people's World Anvil Worlds, a World Anvil World isn't a singular planet, nor a singular universe but they are the size of whatever you need them to be for what you're working on. There are World Anvil Worlds that are entire cosmic planar galactic multiverses.   There is also the accepted suggestion of Child Worlds (Project Hyperion on the Roadmap) that looks to be similar to you I think you want.
