Delete-Button Saved-Articles Reading-List Stuck-Articles Incapable-of-Deletion

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

A delete button for saved articles on the Reading List itself.
When it comes to the Reading List, in order to delete an article from it, you need to first access the saved article in question and then click the "Remove From Reading List" button.   Usually, this is no problem. Except at the times when the saved article is either deleted, privatized, or made into a draft. When this occurs you will either get a 404 message or an Access Denied Message, which subsequently hinders you from accessing the "Remove From Reading List" button.
In the end, the saved article is stuck where it is, even if you wish it gone as you can no longer access it. (Or wish it gone for some other reason).

How does this feature request address the current situation?

A delete button (or a "Remove from Reading List" button) for the saved articles on the Reading List itself would go around this possible problem entirely since you do not need to access the article itself.
I imagine it would possibly work similarly to the "Unfollow" button connected to Worlds one follow.

Yes, this totally makes sense. A lot of people tend to change visibility after contests and you're stuck with a long list of articles you can't actually read anymore. Please add an option to remove directly from the list.

Could be useful for manuscripts as well.

yes please! I have a few that are now in private worlds, and at least one that has now removed their community features on that article (so no like/comment/reading list buttons)

This would be a step forward in navigating the Reading List articles. An additional feature that would inform the user of the article's status (Private, Draft) would go well with it, too. Sometimes people make articles private/draft for a short period, so it is not a problem. I do not know, however, if this problem is widespread enough to make it a priority, but I would welcome the change as it is a step towards better.

This would be a good idea for worlds you've followed and they've been made private so you can't access them to unfollow.
