What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
When I click on the "by type" sort on the Dashboard or Articles page, I would like to be able to then see in the list and select my custom article template types so I can find all articles of that type.How does this feature request address the current situation?
Currently if you create a custom article template type and want to find all articles of that type in the Dashboard or Articles page, you can't. The "by type" sort on these two areas only contains the default types. Selecting the default type which the custom article template type was created from will bring it up, along with any other custom types created of that type.
What are other uses for this feature request?
Grandmaster and up can use this function, and it would greatly help those who have used something like the "Generic" template type as a base for their custom article types. Rather than seeing them all mixed together under Generic, we would be able to see only that specific article type. Custom types were added to the Quick Content Creation and Quick Links; adding the ability to filter type like this would make that consistent.
