What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, almost anything can be customized so that it can be hidden to all but certain subscriber groups, but relationships don't seem to fall under this. You can hide relationships to everyone, but that's it. It also appears that you can't add relationships manually to an article. If you could add them as a content block, then you'd be able to use the subscriber block tags as a work around.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
I'm suggesting adding the subscriber functionally to relationships so that they can be made private but then visible to people in specific subscriber groups.
What are other uses for this feature request?
This would be useful in cases when you're using subscriber groups to hide certain information, like spoilers for a book, or content that is only relevant for a certain campaign or setup. For all the many ways people use subscriber groups, adding the functionality to relationships would add additional flexibility.
The Team's Response
The relationships system needs a good overhaul and there are multiple of ideas on how this will be done
I am accepting this since it has not been announced yes as a confirmation that this is on my sights.
