Add hotkey to wrap selection in [li][/li]

Feature Upgrade · Editor: euclid · Created by DeceitfulEcho

Currently building lists is tedious as you have to manually type [li][/li] around each point in the list. Copying and pasting from sources without the same markdown means you have to type those same tags all over the place and because the opening and closing tag are different you cant copy and paste the tag.

Having a hotkey to wrap a selection of text with [li][/li] would serve in a similar way to ctrl+p wrapping things in [p][/p]. It saves a lot of time and repetitive actions.

None.

Using - works for some cases but doesn't apply to multiline bullet points (and still requires a wrapping tag for ordered lists). In general formatting is more consistent and easier to predict if you use [li][/li].

To those suggesting the "-" shortcut, it works fine but it does have a slightly different formatting result than the regular [li][/li] bbcode. I prefer the normal bbcode for nesting lists inside of themselves, because when you use "--" to do that, the style of the bullet point doesn't change like it does when you use [li][/li]. It would also be nice if there was a button you could press that automatically puts [li][/li] into the text, just like the other editor buttons.

Yes, a thousand times yes! It's the reason why I don't use the new editor. having to type out the commands for each line is very tedious.

I use Excel and The "Concant" to build lists. It is fast and easy.

I am sorry but .... why are you not using the "-" shortcut? Just add the - at the beginning of a line.

I rarely use lists due to this. It is very tedious.
