Chronicle Events Across Multiple Timelines

Chronicle- events writer Ease-of-function- smarter-not-harder

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I don’t know about others, but as a writer I like to have an “Overarching Timeline” that includes EVERYTHING happening from multiple installments in a series.  But currently I waste a lot of time posting the same event to those timelines.  It would be appreciated if we could have the ability to assign chronicle events to multiple timelines at the moment of creation.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

I don’t know about others, but I end up typing the same event into multiple timelines over and over.  This would cut it down to just once.  Similar to how you can assign events to multiple timelines.

What are other uses for this feature request?

  • Cut down on a need for constantly changing views of timelines in a chronicle.
  • Allow for multiple locations/realms/planets to be set as affected by the same event.
  • Reduce the need to meticulously label each line in a timeline.
  • Allow for easier changing of dates if an overarching event needs to be relocated chronologically.

This sounds to me similar to how timeline historical entries function, so it makes perfect sense to add this to Chronicles.

Hell, yes! I desperately need it because some the more generalised historical events that I keep track of happen to be very important to character storylines but I have to add them separately, wasting a lot of time

the ability to have multiple timelines in parallel would be great too   for example to put the journey of a few heroes alongside the larger events of a setting
