Drevaria is a matriarchal country both legally and culturally. Only women can legally inherit property or hold most influential government positions.

Structure

The Queendom of Drevaria is a matriarchal feudal kingdom with four tiers of lordly title. These tiers are, in descending order:

• Queen
• Duchess
• Countess
• Baroness

There is only one queen-tier title in Drevaria. The holder of this title reigns in the capital city, and has authority over the entire queendom. Vassals currently have a moderate level of autonomy.
Duchesses typically reign in a large city, and enforce the Queen's law in their duchy.
Countesses typically reign in a city or large town, and enforce the Queen's law in their county.
Baronesses typically reign in a small town or village, and enforce the Queen's law in their barony.
