Speaker of the Protectorate

Requirements

A Speaker must be already be a member of the Chorus by owning property.

Duties

They are their nations voice on the Protectorate Choir. They are to advise the Lord protector on all matters relating to their Nation and ensure that the Protectorate acts in the interests of all members, They should forgo personal goals and add only to the Concordant Voice.

History

After the great war and the Protectorate of the Concordant Voice was established, The Word of The Concordant Voice was drawn up as a constitution for the Protectorate. Speakers were created in this original document.

Cultural Significance

Within the Protectorate they are given utmost respect in all nations, however it carries authority only within the nation they speak for. However in other nations they will be treated like diplomats and so although no official power is wielded they can in practice outrank all but the highest officials wherever they go.
