Yesnala Plains

This portion of Thanyn territory is largely used for herding horned beasts. From small goats, to antelope-like beasts, to large elk-like creatures, the Land Yanryl herdsmen roam. They create small, temporary settlements with their families for a few weeks or months at a time before moving on to the next grazing area.

Geography

The grassland, savanna, and hills to the east of the Drathak mountains and to the west of the forested region surrounding most of the Kuskyn River and Yegoth River rivers is known collectively as the Yesnala Plains. A ridge of hills running from east to west divides this region roughly in half with a warmer portion to the north and a temperate portion to the south.
The sources of both the Kuskyn and the Orym River rivers originate here, bringing needed water to the region. The head of the Kuskyn river originates in the savanna portion of the plains which is the warmest and driest region of Yesnala.
