Midovar School of Fine & Practical Arts

This school was built so that all magic-wielding Zaanri children in Narzad could have a basic, four-year education in how to control their newly transferred powers (ages 8-11). Most of these children are required to continue for another four years to refine their skills (ages 12-15). The exception to this is those who wield plant magic only. These children may be apprenticed to a plant-based magic user in a village to finish their education.

In addition to the child bearing a cashon, the child's twin is also required to attend the school for four years. After that time, most of the twins either return to their home village or take up an apprenticeship. If the twin prefers to remain in school, they may continue to attend for another four years.

Yanryl magic-wielding children are also accepted at Midovar. Most of the Yanryl attending are Land Yanryl, though a few Water Yanryl attend, especially those with a double cashon.

After attending for 8 years at Midovar, children seeking further education can apply to Chemyl Academy.

Tuition

Tuition costs are paid for by the villages that the children come from or by the children's families if they do not live in a village. Room and board are supplied by the city of Shazun.
