Tieflings
Tieflings are a humanoid species appearing to bear strong resemblances to demons or devils. They are thought to originate within the Forest of Morn in the southeast of the continent of Zalas. They are distinct from other species of the world due mostly to their resemblance to demons and devils and due to their strong resistance to the elements especially fire and heat. The species is typically seen as having average intelligence. The species is also known more generally to be quite stoic in nature and for them to seem to take long periods of time before they begin to trust outsiders.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
The species is mostly centered within the southeast of the continent of Zalas in the area known as the Dead Lands under the control of The Dread Lords. The species can however be found in other areas in exceedingly rare numbers though.

The species is almost exclusively apart of The Dread Lords due in part to their geographic location and in part due to their discrimination by most of the other nations and species of the world.

History
While most folk tales would believe that the species descends from devils and demons and are evil in nature, most scholars would argue that instead the species was created by the god Tarsen and goddess Alari around the same time as the other species of the world. The species is thought to have originated somewhere within the Forest of Morn along with the Minotaurs. This proximity to the other species has led the two species to grow close bonds between them and the two species has learn to mostly coexist and co-depend on each other. While control of the local region has varied wildly over the years since their creation they have come to play a major part within the Kingdom of Rumelia and now more recently within The Dread Lords after they took over the old kingdom.
