Aether Juice

Aether Juice is used to fuel Aether Cube, when linked to an Aether Drive, allows a ship to travel at extraordinary speeds, capable covering interstellar distances quickly. Of all of the technology controlled by the Spell Caster's Union, the knowledge of creating and storing Aether Juice is the most closely guarded.
AetherShips can typically carry enough Juice for two jumps. Some craft are Double Cubed, allowing them to go further.
A refinery is required to produce the Juice, and most of these refineries are actually on ultra large craft or stations, though some mobile refineries (commonly called Scutters - slang for Spell Casters' Union Tankers) do exist. Because they are mobile, they are highly guarded, and - no surprise - highly prized.
