Snoop's Database

Snoop's database is a wiki-style database managed by the Aethersea Adventurer's Association which is used primarily to determine the veracity of obscure, fantastical, and/or mythical events - especially legends - of all sorts. It's popularity of use eventually caused it to expand in use to become the premiere database of extraplanatary or exploratory phenmomena causing much useful mundane data to be included.

Brightblades

A while back, when the Hegemony was going through its "Honor, and all that jazz" phase, Brightblades were honorable agents and noble guardians of many members of the Royal Families. They are reknown for their incredible prowess with their swords (brightblades, a sword reinforced by an energy field) as well as their abilities as special agents. As the morality of the Families fell, they eventually fell into disrepute and only a few platoons remain in service on a couple of core worlds.

HEx Force - Hegemony Expeditionary Force.

The slightly smaller than fleet sized element used for deep aether exploration. Because of the limits of interstellar travel (see Aether Cube, true deep aether exploration requires ongoing refueling operations and Scutters are highly protected.

Scutters

The slang name given to Spell Casters' Union Tankers, these jump capable capital (or larger) craft serve as the mobile fueling station for HEx Forces (see above) and Fleets. It was the capture of two Scutters that gave The Klehnak the ability to push deeply into Hegemony space. Following that incident HExpeditions became heavily guarded and curtailed.
