Fizell

The Floating landmass, which in a way can be seen as its own world superpower. It is known as one of the freest places on Xeros for magic and magic users. Established by Arzinin Fizell, a powerful mage during the early days of the Arcane Upheaval, little over 500 years ago. Currently, Lirina Pinzin is head librarian and the fifth to hold the position.   Races - Variety of races from all over   The whole of the landmass floats high above, within or above the clouds. The people here lead pretty interesting lives as they are free to use magic as freely as the please, within reason, and many people from all over come here to live and study. Fizell is officially split into five sections:   The Fields - In order to become self sufficient, the fields were made to farm animals and grow grains, fruits, and vegetables for the populous to eat. Those that live in this area are the farmers and their family that supply and sell their goods to all that live here. Some have magic help, others do not, but it is relatively quiet here. Druids occasionally stay and work here to make sure the crops stay well and earn some coin for themselves, or even for those that don't live on Fizell. They have their own bar/restaurant here called The Good Harvest.   Lake Astoris - named after the second head librarian. The Lake functions as a source of water for the people and source of enjoyment for the people and visitors. The water is recycled and refreshed by the people and circulated throughout the landmass. Many different types of fish and aquatic life live here an people even take boats to circulate the river. Some live on the banks of the lake and gather at a place called The Lakehouse, serves a rest spot and a place to repair and work on ships of all shapes, sizes, and functions. Some even take up jobs of fisherman to make a living.   Stargazer Woods - These woods are named so because many see it as being one of the best places to see the stars in the world. The woods are lush and beautiful here, with a variety of wildlife people bring with them to Fizell. Many druids, rangers, students, and bright guards come here to relax and train. Many spots to hide and walk through here. Recently, they have been building a building here to better observe the stars. It is one of the most relaxing places in all Fizell, with most days you simply hearing the noises of the woods.   Beacon District - The district is named so because many saw Fizell, and this living space, as a beacon and savior to them upon first arrival. Most people live here among the stone buildings and variety of architectures and styles each has brought over time. Living quarters, shops, restaurants, churches, and businesses of all kind exist here, sharing what they have to live and survive here. The main guardhouse is here for the Bright Guard, Fizell's official guards. Many students take residence here and work at the businesses to make coin, as they can in of the other sections, but here they can work as shop keeps, smiths, performers, and other variety of jobs. Despite the variety of places to go and shop, the most prominent is a place known as the Sparkling Sip, owned by a married couple with one known as high level smith of some kind, specializing in magical items. The other serves as a bartender apparently so amazing, there are rumors that he uses magic to distill emotions themselves into them. Many who arrive in Fizell make a home here and live there days away from the prejudice and laws which govern the land, especially those with magical ability.   The Library - The Library of Fizell is legendary throughout the world, holding the largest amount of books, scrolls, and knowledge anywhere. There are two sections in the library: The general section, that anyone can enter and read from and the restricted section, which only the professors and head librarian may read from. There are many who come to Fizell to study its tomes and knowledge and go on to know more than many. They have a deal with the magical schools of Xerox, where a studying arcane user can study here directly, or they can study a bit at their respective schools and if they are proficient and have the proper recommendation they may continue their studies here. One may only take away what they study here, if one tries to take a tome away with them, the keepers will come for them. People donate everything from cookbooks to books of arcane subjects to this place to learn from and to guard for future generations. *A unique thing about the library is that this is only place in the world that people have said to be able to learn about ways to manipulate time and gravity (Chronurgy and Graviturgy)   Groups   The Bright Guard - The official guards of Fizell, wearing armor of dark blue and purple to represent both the knowledge that lies here, but also the secrets stored here as well.   The Keepers - Clocked beings created to look after the library itself, making sure all that all abide by the rules of the library and listen only to the head librarian. If anyone would steal a book or desecrate the library in any manner, they will come for them and make sure they will never again do it. They float and are usually seen restocking books and wandering around in their yellowish cloth. They only travel from Fizell, if one has promised a donation to the library itself. They were made by Arzinin Fizell and the method is only known to the head librarian.
