The first daughter born to Olig and Thalia, Aliera was an important child for the relationship between Antioch and Baliklav. King Agamemnon was not about to let the fruits of his labors go to waste, asking that Aliera be sent to Antioch. Olig and Thalia refused, stating that their daughter would be no bargaining chip. As such, Aliera was raised completely isolated from her mother's Thepolian background.
As she grew, the girl discovered she had a preternatural affinity for Cosmic energy. Her parents were thrilled, saying that she had been touched by Moira. As soon as she was of age, they had her begin training as an Aard. Like so many, she became bi-vocational, also training as a Smith. She made it to being a Smith Adept before the War of Seven Nations halted her learning, dragging her to battle, instead.
After the war, she married her childhood friend, Grimgar. Her father had also passed away, leaving the title of Storm Baron for her to inherit. She now rules her lands as Jarl, raising her son to one day take her place.

Personal history

From a very young age, Aliera had an interesting relationship with the Fae. While the majority are vaguely skittish at best, and maliciously mischievous at worst, Aliera had a way with the Fae that few others can claim. This went as far as her claiming that - during her Aosak - she was invited to The Glade. According to her, the Fae taught her their ways, telling her she had the Blood of Bjørn in her veins, and it was time that the Fae repaid their debts. She said she spent months in the Glade, learning from the Fae, returning to the mortal world days after she left. Using her new powers, she finished her hunt and returned home with a stag pelt and a belly full of venison.
Aliera's knowledge of Aard practices, blacksmithing, and the ways of the Fae made her the talk of the region; people from all over talked about the girl touched by the gods. In time, she learned what few others had before: shapeshifting. This made her a terror on the battlefield, when the time for war came.
