Gates of Armageddon Story Summary: The story takes place across Kious starting in the countries across the coast from Upya and ending in the Imperial Capital. The story is focused on the AWOL Kelestian Breaker Team 000’s mission to travel behind enemy lines and assassinate the Immortal Emperor Tahlius and on Kelestian Special Operations Team 248’s search and rescue mission for the AWOL Kelestian Breaker Team 000.

Prologue. Decades before story start, Tahlius is visited by Eou and the two discuss the recent disturbances in Kismet and her fears that it could only be caused by Atrius, the last living Immortal Lord. Eou believes the only hope to stand against their power is to align the Divine Worlds of this abnormally endowed Leaf, which would mean unifying Kious and invading Earth to tap into its latent power. Only then will they have enough strength to stand against Atrius and their Destiny. Tahlius is initially apprehensive but Eou reminds him that her offer of an alliance is merely a professional courtesy out of respect, if need be she will make the arrangements to launch a multi-world invasion with IRIS' resources and it will be a much more brutal affair. Tahlius relents due to a combination of his belief in Kismet and her threats, Eou lays out that she wants him to unite Kious under one banner, while its sister world will make a beautiful jewel in the eventual Imperial Heir's Crown.   1. 3. All Kelestian Battle League PPV: The Gauntlet {22nd of February, 2028}
  1. The Gauntlet, The Gauntlet is a biennial PPV event held in the Colosseum in the AKBL. Where 530 teams are split up and randomly assigned into groups 0-14. Groups 0 and 1 both contain five teams and every group afterward contains five more teams than the last (Q.E.D. group 2 has ten teams, 3 has 15 teams, etcetera.) Group 0 starts inside the arena alone. Each time 40% of the active teams are eliminated the current round ends and the next group begins to ready up during the five-minute round transition. Inside the arena, during the transition, the arena violently grows and changes while it spawns a limited amount of recovery zones only accessible to 50% of active teams. These recovery zones have mild healing, stamina, and bioenergy restoration fields while keeping their inhabitants safe from the rapidly changing conditions of the arena and any competitors caught outside. These zones are also created in random areas of the arena and must be found. After the five minutes are up the next round is announced and begins after a ten-second countdown, the recovery zones disperse and the new teams join in. In the final round, the top two eliminated teams are mercy-ruled back in the gauntlet and a special announcement is made. "Stand proud warriors, as you have made it to the final round. Fight with intensity, win for honor, live for victory!" After the announcement, a 30-second countdown begins for the final round. {Kalina is eliminated first in round 9, Jason is eliminated in round 11, and Phoebe is eliminated at the very end of round 14. Sasha's able to just barely beat her opponent securing the win and a record-setting finish for her team.}

Eria #undersiege {All of March 2028}, Tyler is hanging out in the communications room when a distress signal is forwarded from Lypia, it shows footage of a major settlement under attack located in Reylos and they are in desperate need of immediate reinforcements. Tyler wants to help but can't trust his team would be able to handle it on their own, he calls upon Xiyr's Hunters to ask if they can work together to act as a vanguard force while Kelestia is beginning the mobilization of their military.
  1. {1st-7th of March}. The squad's progress is halted as they are forced out of the gateway system that connects Eria hundreds of miles from their destination. They break into a forward team to scout ahead on the issue. The forward team finds the town with the next gateway station under attack by the Imperial Alliance, they attempt to radio out but their signal is slowed {their Beacon's location is still broadcasting though.} The rear team hastens approach with the activation of the forward team's beacons and together are able to save the town and get an update on the current situation, mainly that the city seen in their distress signal has already fallen, this town is the last free town outside of the Holdings of Qodr in Eria. The squad agrees to hold in the town assisting in their evacuation efforts and organizing a defense plan for the next Imperial attack, while this is happening some members of the squad focus on clearing the jam that appears to be on their communication. After roughly a week the Empire Strikes Ba attacks, this time forcing the squad and remaining town guards into a full retreat as the town is at risk of being encircled and they fall back to the safety of Qodr.
  2. {8th of March}In the Qodr border city, Helgia, the squad regroups and attempts to rally. They retool their defense tactics with the much more defendable city and even better backed now by the Qodr military. The communication jamming is relatively clear now able to effectively relay back to Lypia and Kelestia what has happened. Kelestia has already dispatched a Breaker Platoon to assist that should be there within the day. Reinforced, rested, and ready the squad and Breaker Platoon merge together and wait for the next Imperial attack. The Battle of Helgia begins on the 10th of March, 2028, the first several waves of the siege are repelled with the city able to hold off attempts at encirclement and repel the enemy outside the Qodr border. After five days under siege the Prince's flagship arrives, it touches down just outside of Helgia and Prince Nyrah and his chariot come face to face with the squad and the city officials. The Prince gives them a chance to surrender the town or be prepared to defend it to its last man.
  5. The calm before the-. Story beats are given to process the loss nationwide. The military that still stands assumes defensive positions, operators are called into emergency service as defensive plans are made. The last glimpses of pre-WsW1 Kelestia exist in this arc as all characters prepare for the coming battle. The bottleneck of the channel between the continent and Lypia complicates the Imperial invasion, however, it seems the Empire planned for this, relying on the battle of attrition tactics rather than outright warfare. As the citizens, soldiers, and defenders endure wave after wave after wave of Imperial attacks a plot is hatched between the various breaker teams. With the information gathered from the cracked Imperial Communications the attack the Prince would be leading was revealed. A trap was set for him when he was at his most vulnerable, to avoid capture the Prince retreats back to his base taking his flagship, Mitus the Imperial siege engine, the remaining breakers, and waiting pilots followed. During transit, the Heirs would constantly Network hop to lose the pilots. After hopping down into the Ebilie Network a series of bombs detonate inside the Mitus and cause the ship to break apart across the Network leaving the breakers stranded across the vast distance of the transit system but Team 000 and Lucious managed to stay on target landing near the bridge of the ship now in Gallius desert stuck in the territory of the Federation.

6. Search and Rescue. With Tyler's worst fears being actively validated, he assembles an Emergency Away Team DN.248 to find the missing squad.

  4. The wreckage of the Mitus discovered.
7. Not the right time, in the wrong place, with the worst mental state. Team 0000 is stranded in a desert with seemly no way out, all while trying to process the loss of Lucious and the general powerlessness of their situation. They are able to hold out until being rescued by a patrol team and taken to a nearby desert city. They learn the citizens of the city are former Imperial turned rebels who wish to overthrow Talius and his son. These rebels are led by Kaelian and Xyrius, a former imperial general and breaker level soldier respectfully who are in desperate need of the assistance of strong heroes like them to escape the desert city and get their floating base of operations Alynne operational, after which the Rebels will give them transport home.

8. Heirs Perspective 1. The control tower lost, their foothold in Upya lost, Mitus lost, and those responsible lost, Nyrah has led nothing but failures so far and the rest of his siblings are growing tired of waiting. He is reassigned to handle Team DN.248, while his older siblings will attempt to gain their Father's favor by tracking and hunting Team DN.0000.   9. Team 248 Perspective 2. Their story picks up with them leaving the Desert outpost that Team 000 were just at and attempting to formulate a new plan to track them, all while being hunted by a mysterious enemy. They learn that the Mitus Confederacy is the nearest transit HUB and head there.

  10. Rebels with a cause. Before Team 0000 can secure their passage back to the Ship crash site, Or.Dnt gets an emergency hail from Soldiers behind Taiten lines. They desperately need an extraction as their cover has been blown. After putting it to a vote most of the members of Team 0000 vote in favor of taking the assignment, as Or.Dnt obviously doesn't have the power to do so without a bloodbath.   ConAirship. Or.Dnt confesses that they don't have a ship to spare that could make the voyage over the ocean to bring Team 0000 home. As luck would have it, at the Mitus Confederacy there will be an Imperial Airship they can commandeer. With enough time the mechanics could disable the trackers, refit the ship for extended travel, and have it prepped for the Team afterward.                     [A Number of Arcs]             Reunited and it Feels so Good.
