Look Around
Good work! I see ye’ve found the way to the next article on our journey. Come, let me show ye the map I promised.
We’re standin’ now in the village of Old Gálava, not far from one of the towns in the Kingdom of Balad. Ye won’t spot it on this map, though, as it shows the whole of Thalas. Later, we’ll take a closer look at our own lands on another map, but for now, have a look at the world itself. Get a sense of where we stand in the grand scheme of things.
Old Gálava is located in Syndar. Syndar is one of the realms of men, and it lies on the mid-north of continent Syndaras, the largest of all continents. Let’s see if ye can spot it on the map—it shouldn’t be too hard for ye, as it’s quite a sizeable territory.
"I’ve got a wee quest for ye, somethin’ light to start with. Just a little task to see how well ye handle the map—and to make sure ye won’t get lost in the world when I send ye here or there on some errand."
Take a good look at the map of Thalas and find the following locations for me:
Continents: Syndaras, Eladria, Arhnos.
Mountain ranges: Tol'Dalon, Redrok, Sulkaz.
Geographical areas: Dragonbane, Norskul, The Region.

Now, let’s focus on somethin’ closer to home. Find these spots on the continent of Syndaras.
1. Effelos, Dellnor and Xhulldar.
The west of Syndaras. These three teritories are the home of elven folk. We call them Neithirs.
2. Akira and Vasharash.
These two locations are bigest deserts of Thalas. As you will see, the Vasharash desert is bigger one.
3. Jungle of Torgat.
The most dangerous forest that exist.
4. Neighbors of Syndar
Skiaga, Krallhage and Rovashk to the south. The home of barbaric clands known as Wild Thalarians.
5. Eledar and Covenhor.
They are also mostly human teritorries but with different approach and opinion on magic.

"Ah, so ye’ve had a look at the map? Grand! Now I know ye won’t lose yer way in the world. Still, it’s best we focus on the nearby lands for now—our own Syndar. No sense wanderin’ too far just yet, eh? First, let’s see who we are—the people of Thalas. I will tell you about us on next page."
