Ithila
Ithila, the Demon of Fear and Hopelessness
Ithila is a cunning and malevolent Dæmons from Nav, the shadowy realm of punished souls deemed unworthy of peace. As the daughter of Pythios, one of the mighty princes of Nav, her power lies in feeding off the fear, despair, and sense of loss in others. When she managed to escape Nav—a feat unheard of—she sought refuge in the world of the living, where her very presence distorts reality and sows terror. Her escape led her to Korin by a simple chance. She found him on the brink of death, consumed by anguish and hopelessness. Sensing the exquisite feast his emotions offered, Ithila struck a pact with him, binding herself to his soul. Rather than ending his life, she possessed his body, using him as a host to evade the hunters of Nav who seek to drag her back to eternal torment.
In exchange for her refuge, Ithila grants Korin superhuman abilities. He possesses unmatched strength, vitality, and endurance, with a body that heals wounds at an unnatural pace. His senses are heightened beyond human limits, and he can see in darkness as though it were daylight. Yet, these gifts come at a terrible cost...
Korin constantly hears Ithila’s voice in his mind, an unrelenting whisper of fear and malice. Worse still, when her hunger grows or her will overpowers his, she seizes control of his body entirely. During these moments of possession, Korin transforms into a berserk predator. His nails elongate into deadly claws, his eyes blaze crimson with slitted pupils, and he becomes a merciless force of destruction, driven by Ithila’s insatiable hunger for despair.
Ithila’s choice to spare Korin stems from the rich torment within him—a feast of sorrow and hopelessness that sustains her more than any ordinary mortal could. While Korin wrestles with the consequences of their pact, Ithila bides her time, savoring her freedom in the mortal realm and the anguish of her host, all while evading the hunters from Nav who would see her chained once more.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Slim and agile, Ithila possesses an eerie, inhuman strength that belies her slender frame, moving with a predator's grace. Her form is unnaturally fluid and quick, yet devoid of visible muscle definition, amplifying her unsettling aura.
Body Features
Ithila’s body is a striking contrast of pale skin adorned with obsidian black markings resembling claw or whip scars that stretch across her form in various places. Her long raven-black hair cascades down her back, framing a face that shifts between haunting and predatory. Beneath her eyes, her skin is an eerie shade of black, intensifying her piercing gaze. Her eyes alternate between unsettling black night and feral crimson with slitted pupils like a cat’s, betraying her demonic essence. She can manifest sharp, elongated teeth and claws at will, adding a nightmarish edge to her already fearsome appearance.
Special abilities
Ithila possesses a range of terrifying abilities, most shrouded in mystery. Among the known, her power to possess living creatures sets her apart, as she lacks a physical body of her own even if she can manifest to physical world. Her demonic strength and speed are extraordinary, allowing her to overpower and outmaneuver nearly any opponent. When she enters a berserking state, her strength is said to rival that of over twenty seasoned warriors, rendering human resistance futile. Few who face her leave with their lives, and none unscarred.

Personal history
Ithila’s history before her escape from Nav remains shrouded in mystery, even to the most learned Dæmonologysts. What is known is that her escape from the shadowy realm of punished souls was an unprecedented act, a defiance of Nav's unyielding laws. Once free, she breached into the mortal world, a feat that remains as baffling as it is terrifying. For a time, Ithila wandered through forests and desolate lands, leaving a trail of death and despair in her wake, though her existence went largely unnoticed by mortal eyes. Eventually, she encountered Korin, a man teetering on the brink of death, his heart laden with fear and hopelessness. Sensing the perfect vessel in his broken state, she forged a dark pact with him and claimed his body, binding her fate to his and beginning her concealment in the realm of the living.
Intellectual Characteristics
Ithila is a being of razor-sharp intellect, aggression, and cunning that makes her a force to be reckoned with. She is also driven by feralic nature of Dæmons. Her mastery of deceit is unparalleled; she can weave lies so intricate and convincing that even the most vigilant minds often fall prey to her manipulations. Ruthless and calculating, she possesses a predatory nature that allows her to anticipate and exploit the weaknesses of others with chilling precision. Her intelligence and guile make her a formidable adversary, always a step ahead and relentlessly pursuing her objectives with a cold, unyielding focus.
Morality & Philosophy
"I am what I was forged to be—a predator of despair, a vessel for the fears and sorrows of others. Even when I long to silence the hunger, it gnaws at me, relentless, unending. To feed on their hopelessness is not a choice, but the curse that drives me, a fire I cannot extinguish. I hate you Eilue for what have you done to me!"
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Ithila is driven by an unyielding desire for freedom, seeking to escape the clutches of Nav and its relentless hunters. Her ultimate priority is to sever all ties to her former realm, ensuring she is never dragged back to the torment she fled. In the depths of her non-existent heart, she secretly longs to become a living creature once more, yearning for the chance to rewrite her destiny. Beneath her fearsome nature lies a fragile hope to transform into a better soul, one that might one day escape the eternal torment of Nav.

The chains of Nav, they bind so tight,
A soul in torment, lost to night.
They twist and pull, they break and tear,
Don't look back, they feel your fear!
For those who flee, escape the pain,
The Eilue hunt them, in the rain.
Their scent is found, their steps betrayed,
By hunters sharp, the price is paid.
No soul escapes the endless snare, For Nav will follow everywhere.

She is frightening, and that pact with Korin can't be good. I'm wondering about this part of your text: "she lacks a physical body of her own even if she can manifest to physical world." How exatcly was she able to roam the world of the living after her escape without a physical body? Did she possess something else during that time or how does she manifest without a body?
Yeah got your point. I probably used wrong wording. This part is not told anywhere not even in article for Nav I think. - Basically in my mind, the beings of Nav, Luimen and Realm of judgement are just souls that are not physical. Some of them are twisted but this is not about it rn. Yet they have got physical like appearance and can walk in those realm similar way as in the living world. The main issue with killing demons from Nav, or call them for now "angelic beings" from Luimen, is that you can't kill them in living world or in any other realm except the one where they belongs. In this case, Ithila can be killed only in Nav. So her existence in living world is basically "bug in code" She shouldn't be there and it shouldn't be possible in way she does. That mean she is manifesting physically in world of Thalas but if she is killed, she will just appear in Nav. That is the reason why she is running. But her existence is weird in way that now, during possession of Korin, she lost physical body and she can manifest only in form of "spirit" near Korin. I should probably add to Deamonic pact that demon will lose the "physical" form. Another good point from you :D Thanks and I hope I explained it well enough. PS: Another point to TO DO List
Yeah, totally! Thank you for the explanation, much appreciated :)
