The Magic Quill of House Morrill

Mechanics & Inner Workings

This quill seems to never run out of ink. It writes like any other quill and has a mechanism that allows the user to change the quill into a broach. The broach designates the head scribe of Malgos.

Significance

This quill is the very quill used to sign both the First Treaty of Kirma and the Second Treaty of Kirma. Duke Percival Morrill of House Morrill now owns it. The quill is also used in ceremonial signing events designated by the King of Malgos.

History

A long time ago, a phoenix flew over the glorious Kingdom of Malgos after the great battle with the Orcs. After this sighting, a feather floated down and was taken as a sign of victory. The first King of Malgos instructed his citizens to manufacture a protective tip cap for this phoenix feather. So, he and future Kings could use this quill to remember the kingdom's first victory over the cursed Orcs.   After the first war on the Continent of Renstrom, the King of Malgos willing gave this quill to the Orcs of Kirma to draft the First Treaty of Kirma. When the Orcs returned the quill to the Kingdom of Malgos, many citizens requested the destruction of the quill as it has touched the hands of vile Orcs. In response to the request. The King of Malgos will only use the quill in ceremonies. When the quill isn't being used in ceremonies, House Morrill will store it safely. The family within House Morrill were the few citizens that pleaded with the King of Malgos to not destroy a historical artifact.   After the second war, the King of Malgos once again sent the quill to the Orcs of Kirma. They used it to draft the Second Treaty of Kirma. Ever since the signing of the treaty. The King of Malgos will only use the quill for signing important laws or participating in ceremonies. The King of Malgos also signed a law stating that he will forever use this quill in drafting treaties and contracts that affect the Kingdom of Malgos. The King of Malgos also designated that all laws and contracts be rewritten. Duke Percival Morrill and House Niganze will rewrite them to reevaluate before the King of Malgos resigns them.
