The Antiquities Session 22: The Acid Lake and The Drake

General Summary

The party had a nice short rest as soon as they hit this solid wall. Nak looked quizzically at the wall. The wall ended up being an illusion Nak and Leront discovered that they could simply travel through it. They came across a pathway and, it got narrower. Now, this prevented the carts from being able to pass further. So the party all assisted in chipping away the cliff face. In the process of removing the rubble Arnold ended up "inking himself" by raging to get extra strength but in doing so cast darkness upon his comrades.
Nak and Leront investigated further and came across a lake of acid. They tried to investigate further to see if there is any way across. They found what appeared to be the safest route. However, the track was made of an element that they were not familiar with. They asked for some aid to come and investigate the element. The investigation resulted in the identification of Adamatine tracks and figuring out that they were acid-resistant.
When scouting ahead and doing more investigating Nak and Leront ended up disturbing something that was swimming with in the lake of acid. However, as it was leaving and trying to sneak up on Leront. Nak threw something into the water and out comes a young black dragon curious for what meal he was going to have. Nak now in an oh shit moment is begging for life as this dragon is asking him why she should let him live. She loved watching this Grung beg for its life.
Even though the party was slightly rested from their fight with the Alpha Yeti. They still haven't recovered fully from it. Nak knew it would be a stretch to survive this whole fight. So he begged and pleaded over and over again and failed miserably and the dragon just laughed. Then Sir Parendor said something that made fun of Less Fang The Betrayer and it angered the dragon. The dragon having control of their lair found a way to exploit the darkness of the cave. In doing so she ended up popping out of it and spewed its acid. This knocks unconscious Heidi and Tinika. Arnold feels the lifeless body from Tinika as she was riding on his shoulders. In the split decision of safety Arnold flew down and landed next to Luther to try and save Tinika.
Nak and Leront , Sir Parendor and Gaia try to save the party. Their actions led to slaying this dragon. Emmitt rushed over to Tinika and starts pushing on his creator and saying repair over and over again. Luther was able the grab a glitter bomb of healing and smashing it to the ground. This spectacular ended up saving both Tinika and Heidi.
The party was able to recover and successfully traverse the acid lake. Along the way, they noticed a ladder that went up to the surface to a wooden hatch. When they entered the hatch: they noticed it overlooked an ancient city. They also noticed another hatch that went further up. The hatch opened up to a scouting tower. The party decided it was time to take a rest. It would be the first time the party got the chance to sleep. On Nak's watch he went up the ladder to investigate. He noticed that this ladder led to the cliffside of the mountain. He was able to look out onto Loch Ren and even saw the Eternal Forge Grung settlement. He also saw a seven-headed Hydra. It was heading to the shore and was close enough to cause some fright, but it wasn't going near the Grung settlement.
