The Antiquities Session 1: Ascelin's Tower Explodes?

General Summary

Martinus 6th-7th,
Sometime after arriving at Mispira's abode, (Tinika Cogshiner was also there just to join them for the evening and then go stay at her room at the The Indigo Flask, the party notices that darkened skies marking the last day of Thorns Shadow followed by a ray of light of arcane origin coming from the direction of the tower several members of the party had been to before, the home of Ascelin Veabrid. Driven by panic and the sense of dread-driven concern for her mother, Mispira frantically told Heidi Roth and the others to meet her at the tower before flying in its direction. Once the party had reached ground zero, it was discovered that the tower was nowhere to be seen and in its place was a massive crater littered with Cobalt colored glass (collected by Tinika Cogshiner) and the broken remains of an orb, part of an incomplete set, but fractured into five pieces (collected by Mispira). After some minor injury for some and emotional distress for others, guards arrived at the scene and Mispira was told that they were being summoned to the The Temple of Tritherion by Sir Alfred Viken for questioning about the event that had occurred. After meeting and engaging in some tense debate with the Warlord Sir Alfred Viken, several persons found him to be distasteful, while others such as Mispira and Heidi Roth were both tasked with certain missions, one expressed openly (Mispira's personal quest) and the other discussed privately ( where Heidi Roth is interrogated by Sir Alfred Viken. who seems to know who she is. Heidi Roth is given a mission to hunt kobolds and find a certain artifact/ information 1,000gp). The party decided to return to Mispira's home and were greeted by Sir Alfred Viken's guards who were tasked to guard her home, the party was suspicious of their intent as some members noticed surveillance from the shadows (Nak'Zoog Mag StoneGrave noticed, relayed information to Leront).
The party partook in a meal prepared by Mispira (during which time Tinika Cogshiner told the party about her missing sister and there was yet another drunken omen, this time with a pointed origin of the spirit of an Orc, that only Nak could see). With the party seemingly under close watch and house arrest as it were, Tinika Cogshiner was denied from returning to her paid room at the The Indigo Flask and upon having her things unceremoniously dumped by the tavern owner, she found that while her things were mostly not broken, she was missing her precious tinkering tools. After the meal was over, another unpleasant altercation was to be had in the form of what seemed to be a lover's spat between Mispira and her Goliath ex-partner, where at the conclusion, Mispira was given a missive from her mother (a deed, a key ) and a bag of Cobalt glass (worth 200gp). (Leront Fènwa Norixx checked in on Mispira telepathically). The party beds down and is awoken the next day to Luther preparing a lavish breakfast and premade apology letters. Rations are made from the leftovers and supplies are gathered (hats and things). We leave off to the party preparing to make their way into Del'Rae Desert surrounding the city of Arpin.
