Dialect of Raesandel

History

When the first creatures were brought to the Continent of Renstrom, a few languages and ancient dialects got created. The most prominent was constructed when the first creatures reached the Raesandel Forest. They needed a language and dialect to quickly communicate with each other. This language became the official language for the capital city of Arpyneaketh. The mastermind behind the language was the very first Pharaoh named Arpin Raesandel.

Tactical

Arpin Raesandel thought that the best way for hunters to adventure into depths was to have symbols written on the trees showing safe passage. This also led to quick words to be developed if the hunter got into danger. These would be spoken to help identify a person in need of medical help, refill for ammo, take rest, and retreat. This version of the language has evolved over time and was the precursor to thieves cant.

Ritual

Arpin Raesandel also helped his clerics and druids develop various runes to help with rituals. While creating this part of the language, he uncovered a rune that accidentally killed him. The druids used these runes and learned away into the feywild. The clerics used various runes to find a way to preserve Arpin Raesandel's body to transport it back to Arpyneaketh. They developed a ritual similar to the spell gentle repose. They used this as a way to prepare the first-ever mummy burial ritual.

Writing

The writing of this language is very symbolic. Many scholars still can't decipher everything that was developed. The reason for that is the comprehend languages spell only can understand some parts of the runes. There is something with the runes that prevents the spell from taking hold. Scholars have learned that the script is mixed with Common, Undercommon, Sylvan, and Elvish.
