Bonsuian

One of the five tribes that ventured out from the desert and made their way North. The peoples of the Bonsuian canal, named for their first and founding king, founded the closest settlements to the desert they had recently left. Ignoring the calls to venture across the waters to the neighboring continental island, and refusing the cheers of a northern bound journey, they instead founded along the first massing of rivers. The Capital of Wintergarten was founded as a staging ground for the two tribes that took the passage, and instead took advantage of the remaining supplies the tribes were unable to carry.

Art & Architecture

Architecture: The villages, towns, and cites along the coast all share similarities in their designs and took advantage of the edges and natural barriers of the coastline. The settlements built along the rivers and further towards the mountains tried to mimic the design of the coastal cities to better invoke the idea of their coastal heritage.

Art: Pre-Empire works were nearly nonexistent as few of the stories or myths survived the eventual consumption of the societies by the Gehen people in later years. The few remaining pieces speak of peaceful sailors searching for new lands and impossible answers to question lost, or groups of mystical naturalist bending the forest and rivers to their whim, helping to form the walls surrounding the later cities nearest the mountain. Imperial ages took admiration for the particular glasswork that the people along the coast created. Ships of glass and animals of near life-like detail were renown across the first few ages. The mystics of the forests and mountains also maintained a level of interest and intrigue as a number of the Bonsuian Arcanists add to the roster of Consortium Arcanists under Imperial license
