Alder of Mehonoris
Pere Alder (a.k.a. The Unkempt Librarian)
Alder is the main character of the "BattleMage" series and is often depicted with his magic weapon, brigandine, and Nadea the Pseudo dragon. His work to find unique forms of magic eventually made him an accomplished Arcanist in the Abstract aspects of Magic.

Educated at the Capital Academy in Bismuthforge, The Imperial Capital of Gehen. During this time, Alder was taught martial skills and basic scholarly arts, eventually finding an air of interest in Magic. His actual ability for the Arcane Arts was limited and so he found himself within the Battle Mage track shortly after failing to join the Arcane track proper.

Mental Trauma
Alder has a terrible inferiority complex on his inability to perform magic in the ways he wants. Most Battle Mages share Alders limitations of casting, however Alder refuses to let that be his final stop and is constantly attempting to expand his abilities. Sometimes to a fault.
