God of Life

The God of Life is a mythical deity. It is not known if it was real, or a legend.   If it existed, it was over a thousand years in the past.   Unlike commonly known and worshipped deities, the God of Life was said to be a neutral arbiter of the world of Midland. It did not gain power from worshippers, nor did it directly aid or punish mortals.   There are no known shrines or physical depictions of the God of Life.   The most prominent legend of this deity involves its counterpart, the God of Death. It is said they expended their combined powers to strike a cosmic bargain of great significance.   The details of this bargain vary depending upon local myths and cultures.   It is also said the dissolution of these gods increased the power of the known gods, but also introduced more celestial chaos.
