Hirwier is an island found off the northwesern coast of Calusgaucht. It is was previously controlled by Kingdom Watchersplace, and sported a small and quiet fishing village known as Ganter, but now is under the control of Gnomes, the Empire of Roscrea ruling that the mostly unused island would be a gift and used as a Human-Gnome embassy and to strengthen their relations.
Geography and Environment
Hirwier was once a simple and wet island, sporting beaches along its shore and also bogs and swamps. When the Gnomes were gifted the island, they brought with them their fauna and plante mushroom seeds that grew huge mushrooms and homes for the Gnomes to live in. The grass became greener and the new forests themselves started to feel magically alive.
History
The island was gifted by the Emperor in 7067 3E in a show of good faith to the Gnomes and became an embassy to strengthen the two specie's relations. This was much to the ill of the natives of the village, Gester, who had no say in the matter.
By 7100 3E, the village of Gester was almost completely in ruins due to the changed environment of the island, and the villagers were without home and blamed their ills on the Gnomes and neglectful Emperor. They dug deep and formed a cult called the Dull Hats on the island dedicated to destroying all Gnomian kind. They hired the Five Foundations to help them many times, which split the Five Foundations and caused a civil strife within the organzation.
In 7102 3E, the Five Foundations ruled that they would no longer help the Dull Hats and even stopped their attempt to frame the Five Foundations to assassinate the leader of the gnomes.
