The Meteora Institute
The Meteora Institute is an esteemed school system within The Union, whereupon young Elves are taught so they can learn about the different applications of magic and it's various usages and methods. Learning with the most proficent teachers at Meteora's disposal, they are educated to be able to assist with the war effort between The Union and it's enemies, being graded on their efficency and usefulness.

Main School Building
One of the two places where students of The Meteora Institute will spend their time. With a brilliant, grande entryway showcasing a statue of the school's founder, Eldrin Daijin, students will honor it in the beginning of the day as they wander into the hallways, going through the school and to the auditorium, then to their classes to learn about the following subjects:
- The history of Terra Eclipsis and Elven-kind.
- The enemies of Terra Eclipsis, their weaknesses, their strengths, and how to best approach fighting them.
- Military strategies.
- How to use Mana and the various casting tools for Mana.
- Offensive capabilities with Mana, including conjouring fire, lightning, etc, etc.
- The history of Humanity, the Nephilim, and the Stars.
Since The Withering, two more things have been taught at the school: How to properly fight Dragons and not die, and how to assist with recovery and safety.
Alongside the aforementioned classes, there are bathrooms located on each floor, a cafeteria located on the second floor for students to eat in, a laboratory for making potions, and a medical office for injuried students.
Auditorium
I think that was the day I finally gave up in what we believed in.
The Auditorium is where students will meet at the beginning of the day and, if the need rises, during emergencies or important announcements. While there, they will be met with the current headmaster, Eurora De Ven, who will often go over any new developments in the war effort, any changes to the Institute's policy, or what-have-you.
Oftentimes, there will be a guest speaker that will show up at the Auditorium, either from somewhere within the kingdom of The Union or, in rare occasions, an individual from another realm such as Earth. The policy of allowing outsiders to speak is a fairly recent development, having began shortly after The Withering.
In the present, the Auditorium has doubled as a shelter in the event of a Dragon attack. When a horde of Dragons have been detected invading The Union, any trainees or citizens that are not part of the faculty will be brought here, where a Barrier is formed around the Auditorium until the attack has passed.
Dormitories
A majority of the students of the Institute live within a dormitory building. Each floor has 46 dormrooms (aside from the first floor, which has 44 rooms), totaling up to 228. The dorm rooms themselves, meanwhile, are fully furnished with the following:
- Two Beds
- A kitchen, filled with dishes, pots, pans, and a stove.
- A cabinet for food storage.
- A bathroom with a toilet, shower, and self-care products.
- Dining table.
- Bookshelf.
Further additions to a student's dorm room can be made if they wish, as long as it does not violate the Institute's rules. Although The Meteora Institute is not as reliant on government orders or wishes in a post-Withering world, there is still various things that are prohibited upon the campus, including the ownership of weaponry from Earth, drugs1, and anything from Strakh.
Practice Field
Either for competitions between students or for training with new enviroments, for experimenting with big magical spells or for practice with smaller, localized abilities; the practice field is filled to the brim with magic, shifting shape thanks to the will of the teacher overseeing the field.
As of The Withering, however, this field has seen limited use-- the risk of experiencing a Purple Haze, the risk of being attacked by a Dragon, and the risk of being attacked by the hostile forestry has made it particularly dangerous to be outside for long periods of time. Not to mention, the distortion of Mana in the air has resulted in the shifts done to the terrain within the field becoming unstable easily. One particular incident involved the manifestation of a hollowed-out cavern, one that quickly began to fill with moss all the way up to the surface.
Offices
Can't say that I've seen a school with a prison in it, though.
Within the offices are where some teachers gather together to discuss the school's curriculum, plan out various operations for the Institute, and where the headmistress; Eurora De Ven, resides in. When a problem arises, a teacher or a student can approach the headmistress to address said problem.
Within the offices as well is the library, four floors tall with thousands of books detailing the histories of the different realms, including those of Terra, Earth, Fractus, and so forth. There are spellbooks within the library that can be checked out for a student to learn from or educate themselves with, as long as they're permitted by a teacher to be able to take the book with them. Alongside this, of course, there is a Mana Pool for if one needs to refill their cache of Mana.
At the end of one hallway in the offices, there is a stairwell where two guards will often stand-- during the day time it'll be two Elves, while at night it'll be two Dolls from Eurora De Ven's private guard. This stairwell is enchanted with a barrier infront of it, as well as with various reality-altering curses to give off the impression of a stairwell that stretches down endlessly-- all of which can only be called away by the Institute's faculty.
At the bottom of this stairwell is a prison. It's relatively small, with 14 cells, 7 interrogation rooms, and a chamber that is used for 'enhanced interrogation'.
As of present, the only prisoner is a woman known simply as The Interloper, a member of the Tower Of Babel. She was once a teacher for the Institute. Now she's a prisoner.
Post-Withering Changes
Our war against the other kingdoms are no longer relevant. Likewise, all observations on Earth and those from the field on the other side of life are no longer our focus.
Our enemies are clear. The Dragons and The Tower Of Babel must be destroyed.
After The Withering shook up Terra and brought the kingdoms of the realm onto their knees, it was assumed by some that the temporary ceasefire across the realm wouldn't last forever, and that the kingdoms would all begin to go after each other's throats once again. Of course, that tune quickly changed when the Dragons returned.
Caught in this crossfire of a damaged kingdom was The Meteora Institute, whom were the first to investigate the disappearance of the Elven King of The Union. This would result in them coming into conflict with The Tower Of Babel, eventually capturing one of their members, a former teacher of The Insitute known nowadays as The Interloper.
After they interrogated her, The Meteora Institute-- acting on it's own volition, broke away from the rulership and became independent, opting to focus their efforts on not just striking back at the dragons terrorizing the realm, but to hunt down and fight back against the Tower Of Babel, seeing their efforts as a major threat to the lives of everyone everywhere.
1 - This has not stopped the usage of medicinal herbs such as Cannabis or Glowshroom-based psychoactives by some students, which is allowed by the headmistress as long as it does not interfere with recovery efforts or the student's education.
Dude, I'm not sure what to compliment. The writing, the looks, the IMAGES!!! All are absolutely incredible!! I can't believe I haven't already followed your world :D
