Tanero is Inuit in ethnicity and in culture but is also handsome and rugged in appearance and has the build of an athlete of the 40's.

Personal history
Born to Koliak and a mortal woman, Tanero took on the family curse as well. He cannot be seen by any non Inuit person unless in a dog form. This led him on a perpetual quest to undo his curse no matter what while helping those cursed to turn into beasts as well.
In 1941 he was relieved of the curse by the other gods due to his actions in preventing Nazi invasions in the arctic. Near the end of the war he went on a trip around the cosmos for an unknown amount of time. In spite of his wandering he has been came back to Earth to see his sister.
He is known to the canadian government but is considered a low threat and risk due to his reserved nature and tendency to follow his sister.
Nelvana discovered later that her brother was gender fluid and could shift between genders. His female form looks similar to Nelvana and is just as beautiful. The siblings moved passed any awkwardness from this reveal.

What has been gleaned from conversation was that he aided many a cursed werebeast throughout his existence. There was one incident where he stopped a genocide that was annihilating wolf men. The event was on some other planet and it was suffering from fascism.

The only notably traumatic thing is the potential psychological effects that stems from his curse. It must be noted that he isn't affect by loneliness or isolation, since he can still interact with other humans as a dog. He has shown frustration over not interacting with people as a humanoid.
