Homework 1: The Pledge
Well, it's that time of year again when summer camp rolls around. Due to my colossal failure to actually do anything for
World Ember last year I am hoping to get many of the critical articles I promised there done as a part of this summer camp, as well as the other prompts. Art is also on the to-do list, but my attempts at that have been embarrassing in their level of quality.
In short, I'm a wimp and should just post the crap I make.
Question 1: Which project are your worldbuilding efforts tied to?
While I am unsure of what sort of project I will do at this time, once all major world articles are constructed I wish to start a major project of some form. Either a series of short stories or a possible webcomic. Critical articles will consist of this year's prompts as well as articles on the many regions of
Plenumia, all
Awoken subspecies,
Ontologite, the various factions, and finally articles on the mysterious robotic denizens of the wasteland.
Question 2: What world are you working on?
I will be primarily focusing on Wasteland of Ohm and the skillsets associated with it. Which means art. This means that we will all witness horrible art.
Question 3: Which area of the world(s) are you working on?
Specifically I will be focusing on the continent of
Plenumia, and the present of the setting. Who the people and creatures that inhabit it are, as well as the groups they have formed. I will also be including some of the social and political tensions that the population of
Plenumia face.
Question 4: How much are you aiming to complete?
I've personally been struggling to follow my passions in art and writing for quite some time. I'm hoping this can break the ice that has formed around these activities. As such I'm going to be aiming for all articles to be completed and then some. If I was able to do it
last year I can do it again!
Question 5: When will you write?
While I don't want to go into my personal life too much, I do have a job and that takes up most of my time. I plan to write at minimum one hour a night starting after I post this article. If I can manage I will also try to get some art practice in as well, but that is going to take a back seat till summer camp is over.
Question 6: Who is your support network?
I don't really have much of one except a few personal friends, however, I'll make sure they give me the support I need. Also
BCGR_Wurth would do something terrible to me.
Closing Thoughts
While I originally planned for Wasteland of Ohm's world anvil to be from the perspective of the character
Kri Deamos. I'm beginning to regret this choice. There will be a lot of rewriting required but I think articles will be better for the change.
