Fjallar
The coastal city of Fjallar is the only of the Emerald Coast cities to still maintain the tradition of a Patriarch wielding the crown. The people are strong believers in (insert religion name), a religion that once dominated the province, but has since fallen out of favour. Fjallar exports two things: fish and young men and women.
Demographics
The majority of the populace is made up Warborn, with very few Humans and little to no Elves. Of those, two thirds are established and middle aged or elderly, while the remaining third is made up of youths too young to move out. Young adults almost unanimously leave Fjallar for better shores.
Government
The only true theocracy left in Jotunheimr, a Patriarch makes the final decisions on major issues while his thanes handle day-to-day issues. The docks were once flourishing, but the latest Patriarch's excessive taxation has led to a sharp decline in outside trade, and by extension a decline of the town itself.
Industry & Trade
Half a century ago, Fjallar was the biggest supplier of warships in the Emerald Coast. The death of the brilliant boat builder behind the industry and the new Patriarch signaled a decline that would last until the present day. Now the only exports are fish, holy trinkets and young adults seeking adventure.
Infrastructure
In its heyday, Fjallar was home to a master boat builder, who ran an industry making warships. There are still loggers cabins, sawmills, warehouses and dry docks dotted all over the settlement, though they have mostly been converted to homes and farms. The boat builder's eldest son took up his father's last project and finished it himself; an absolutely magnificent stave church that to this day is visited by travelers from all across the continent. This is now Fjallar's major driver of exports, in the form of souvenirs and holy relics made by Fjallar's residents.
Guilds and Factions
The Ironbark Guild was the largest logging company in Fjallar, thriving on the warship industry. It was forced to diversify, and now acts as the unofficial banker's guild of Fjallar, in direct competition with the Emerald Bank of Jotunheimr. Most of the city's gossip follows their rivalry, followed closely by the Patriarch's wife's latest scandalous lover, and finally whose home was robbed again by those dirty Elves.
Geography
Nestled at the mouth of a narrow Fjord, surrounded by rolling hills and thick forests, Fjallar is idyllic and placid.
Natural Resources
Ironbark trees, with a long extinct iron vein.
