Alzira Necropolis

This small district just outside the city walls to the southeast of the city. Little more than a large expanse of crypts, mausoleums, and graves above a sprawling network of catacombs below, the Alzira Necropolis has very few actual residents aside from the handful of shacks that dot the landscape belonging to the groundskeepers of the Sextons' Guild.
During the day, people come to visit their fallen relatives, friends, and loved ones, and it is very serene place with tranquil gardens and reflecting pools. However, rumors circulate that at night it is a very restless place, with whispered tales of the dead rising from their graves and dark cabals gathering to honor wicked entities. Most denizens of Alzira disregard the rumors as merely tales intended to give one a chill but
The catacombs below are an extensive network of underground ossuaries which serve as burial grounds
